Remove the Country Code for Phone numbers and revert back to previous formatting
I noticed this morning that country codes have been added to all phone numbers, and the formatting of phone numbers has been affected accordingly. The issue with this, is we use the search function to quickly search for a client's phone number when a client calls us to see who is calling us. The formatting of the number has been removed, previously we had saved numbers as 04 11 111 111 and now the formatting is +6111111111 which makes quickly searching a number more difficult and not as quick. Please remove the requirement for the area code, or make it optional and remove the formatting requirement.
Additionally, I noticed that numbers we had saved in Phone instead of Mobile in the contacts section, have now automatically been moved to Mobile. The reason we had these numbers saved in Phone instead of Mobile is because the mobile field is not searchable. Again this makes it difficult when we are trying to locate a client calling us to see who is calling.
Please revert back to the previous way phone numbers were entered, retaining formatting. There is also no information advising of this update, as there are other cosmetic changes to Xero that appear today (for instance, there is now gride lines after each relationship which appears strangely).
