1. NZ GST - GST 101A return

   I have come across an issue where a client who is GST registered wanted their refund transferred to Provisional Tax. The only 2 options in Xero are GST 101 (GST only) and GST 103 (GST and Provisional Tax). I chose the GST 103 option and the Estimate option under that.
   The return was rejected by the IRD as a GST 103 return is for the Ration option only. I was told the return/option I needed to file is a GST 101A.
   This is not available in Xero
   I have never had the IRD reject this before so I am not sure if it is an issue that has arisen from the new GST update in Xero or a pedantic investigator but either way there is no actual correct option for a GST registered person to return GST and Provisional Tax together unless they are registered under the Ratio option which would be a very small margin of taxpayers.
