Contacts - Add EORI number field to contacts
EORI numbers are required for all European customers especially when invoicing/shipping goods. It is an extension of their VAT numbers. Please can XERO create a new field on the contacts for this. We are recording this currently in the new notes or "FAX" number so it shows quickly. Are Fax numbers still necessary?

This is a very important feature for our business to the extent where I am actually discussing with the current senior team and board that it may well require us as a business to look at a different accounting software as it is critical that we as a business are able to see EORI numbers on our invoices and especially as the EORI number is shown on the invoicing and stock control system we use but as there is no field for EORI numbers in XERO then invoices do not go from Xero with the EORI number on meaning that there is a need to manually add this to the sales invoice or send the invoice from the actual invoice and stock control software so in essence having to process invoices twice. There is a potential work round by adding the number in the notes or account number field but this again adds time and means the integration with the invoice and stock control software is wasted causing more manual input time

This should be a standard feature. Can i ask are you all personally updating your records to show this info?

Crazy this is not a field already. SOme companies wont accept any documentation without the EORI included. Come on Xero.. you can do this.. its 2024. :)

Absolutely! I'm currently sacrificing the Account Number field to put EORI numbers in, as that's the only way I can get them to appear on invoices.
