  1. Xero already calculates the average number of days a business takes to pay each supplier (you can see it on individual contact records under "Bills"). But there's no way to pull this into a single report across all suppliers.

This matters because the UK Government's Fair Payment Code (which replaced the Prompt Payment Code in December 2024) requires businesses to provide evidence of their payment performance from their accounting software when applying for an award.

The Code has three tiers: Gold (95% of invoices paid within 30 days), Silver (95% within 60 days, with 95% to small businesses within 30…

Hi everyone, we'd like to share (as some may have seen news of) we're working on reports that'll help provide businesses visibility of their payment performance. As a starter to address needs in this idea we're focusing on a 'Supplier days to pay detail' report that'll show historical payment behaviour across Suppliers. This'll be an exportable report can be used as evidence for UK businesses compliance with the UK Fair Payment Code.

We want to say a special thanks to Libby for all your engagement with our product team, and to all our UK Partners that helped test with us during our recent XeroCon in London.

I'll be back to share once this report goes live!

  3. AU There was a discrepancy between GST ac balance at EOQ on the Balance Sheet & the GST refund for the end of quarter BAS. Using the GST Reconciliation report would be a lot more helpful if the Filed Amounts could actually be saved and continuously show the correct unfiled running balance amount and the section "GST Account Summary " for unfiled GST was actually correct as a cumulative balance. I just did 3.5 years worth of GST Reconciliations and nothing saved so all the running balances are wrong and don't flow correctly from one year to the next -…

Thank you for your candid feedback and engagement on this idea. The good news is we're actively working on a complete rebuild of this report on our new reporting platform ✨. This project is a top priority and is specifically designed to solve the issues you've raised. The new report will automatically pull in filed return amounts, allow you to drill down into transactions, and always show a correct, cumulative unfiled balance. We're in the development phase, and we’re also actively gathering feedback on the ability to make manual adjustments in the new report, which we know is a critical requirement. We are committed to delivering a report that makes this essential part of your workflow easier and more reliable. We'll be back with another update as we make progress 😊

  4. For NZ tax calc we reconcile to the figure after Dividends and tax expense. I see that there has been an update done (I am assuming for Australia) which is not suitable for NZ. Can you have an option for the tax amount to be either pre or post?

Hi Joanne, I just wanted to share an update as checking in with our product teams - from the screenshot you shared around the tax provision in the Balance Sheet Income Tax Reconciliation pulling in the wrong sign. This is something that we're working on right now. I'll come back to let you know once this is fixed.

  5. Would like to see switch rules work in the notes to the financial accounts the same way they work on the balance sheet - allowing for reclassification of accounts with negative balances, for example negative current asset to current liability or negative non-current liability to move to non-current asset.

These issues are particularly acute when an account goes from positive to negative and vice-versa between current year and prior year.

On the basis the switch rule does not operate correctly in the notes to the financial accounts, means that in many cases the switch rule is rendered an unusable feature…

Hi community, appreciate wanting an update from us here, and we'd like to thank those that have additionally added their support since our last update.

I’m pleased to let you know our reporting product team is working on a new synced notes experience that's intended to keep notes aligned with the source report, including carrying through switch rule behaviour.

We understand current behaviour means figures can stop matching when switch rules move balances between groups in the source report. - The work our team are doing is designed to solve that by allowing you to create synced notes from groups in a report. These synced notes will stay connected to the source report and respect switch rules, helping the related note figures stay aligned.

We've already started rolling this out for AU and NZ customers and I'll round back to confirm once it is live to all regions. 🙂

  6. Ability to only allow some users to access specific reports.

Purpose: Because in some organisation, only some people can only see the information for some reports.

Heya team, we're now actively testing how reports could be grouped and accessed, and we'd love your input in this, so we can design a better report grouping structure that supports role-based access in reporting.

Get involved! Complete a quick 15-min online activity to test how reports are grouped and accessed:

    • Part 1: answer questions about the current report grouping
    • Part 2: explores a new grouping and role-based report access

👉 If you're interested, please go through the link here.

Thanks again for your support and contributions to developing a solution that works best for majority of our customers!

(Just to note - If you’ve already gone through this activity, there's no need to do it again — our researchers may have contacted you earlier 😊)
