YES! Filtering by description would be EXTREMELY useful. We want to split a revenue account into multiple accounts then recode about 1 year of old transactions so we can see historical data. 20,000 individual lines to recode manually unless we can filter by description.

This is a must. We have systematic importing or integration of description fields from other finance systems. We need to be able to FILTER the DESCRIPTION field to make effective use of the find and recode screen.

This is particularly important for manual journals, as they may have multiple line items that have different purposes (bulk import).

Hi XERO - Listen to your customers... Find and recode it is just useless without a filter on the Description. Just as example - our eCommerce integration can't solve to collect revenues on two or more different sales accounts. By filtering the specific keyword for the product I would be able to recode years with just two clicks....

It does not allow to use the filter by “description or reference” as in ACCOUNTS TRANSACTIONS filters.

adding this feature would save me hours
as you can search this way in reports, it makes no sense to me that you cannot filter this way in find and recode

Please add this feature to Find and Recode using description. Would be very useful.

Please add this and the possibility to filter by "Description"=contains [...]. It simply makes no sense the fact that this is not possible!

Would be amazing to be able to Fine and Recode transactions via a "contains" or "starts with" filter for the "Description" column.

While importing Bills / Invoices, we've experienced that "New Items" where not automatically added to the inventory, and therefore didn't add the tracking information on the bills.

Being able to search for transaction lines by Description with a "IS" or "CONTAINS" would be so helpful.

The "IS / CONTAINS" criteria already exists for the "Invoice Number/Reference" item, so it's a very easy setup for the description category.

It is not easy to identify mis coded items by description at the moment using Find and Recode. In order to search text, one needs to go to a Bank Account and search for the item that way. It would be efficient if an additional category for search is added within find and recode that searches text in all transactions regardless of where the text is. Please consider adding this feature.

We need a (simple) filter "description" "contains" and it would solve just about all of my find tasks alone!

We all make mistakes, the find & recode tool is great for bulk correction. However when trying to recode line items it's impossible to search by description..

Very important!! This would make it really easy to find specific products/services we sell in order to re-code.
