Hi David, appreciate you sharing your idea with us here. To get more understanding, can you share why you'd like to be able to download a bank statement that's being imported to Xero versus retrieving this from your banking portal?

QBO does this and it really helps to not have to login another portal and download directly from the bank feed especially for the clients who have a hard time with providing us view only access in their banking portal or don't feel comfortable so we have to wait on the bank statements from them each month.

We pull monthly bank statements from client's bank website to ensure that bank feed has been imported correctly. HubDoc used to do this automatically and that was amazing. Now we spend several hours a month manually pulling and relabeling statement. There are products like Dext that will use Plaid to pull statements. Since Xero has bank access with Plaid, it would be great to keep it all in house and have Xero pull statements into the new Xero Files.

Hi Kelly, this is easily the task that holds our accountants and bookkeepers up the most. Bank feeds have transformed accounting, but statements are still required for compliance.

Hi Kelly, the accountants need the bank statements to produce the accounts each year, and sometimes ask to double-check, as the bank feed can miss a transaction, so if the Bank feed could pull the PDF statement, it would reduce this request each year.
