Spend Money - Ability to link a received refund directly to an existing Spend Money transaction
Refund transaction that links to a previous Spend money transaction
Hi Xero users,
When we received a refund for a payment, the only option is to record the received amount as a separate transaction in the same account.
There is no option to link the refund transaction to the previous completed spend transaction unless it is a Bill.
It would be very helpful if Xero can add this feature
This way, when we click on a spend transaction, we can know immediately if it is refunded or not, cause the two spend and received transactions are at different date so it might be difficult to track when there is a huge date gap or the refunded amount is partial

Hi Hayley, thanks for bringing this idea to the community. We understand that being able to link refunds back to the original transaction could simplify reconciliation and record keeping.
