Feature Request: Bulk Allocation of Multiple Payments Against One Sales Invoice in Cash Coding
Dear Xero Development Team,
I would like to bring to your attention an inconvenience in Xero's bank reconciliation process, particularly when using the "Reconcile" and "Cash Coding" features.
In our business, we sometimes receive hundreds of individual payments against one particular Monthly Sales Invoice. The total amount allocated against a single invoice can sometimes exceed £600,000.
Currently, we have to reconcile and allocate each individual payment separately against the relevant sales invoice. This is a very time-consuming and repetitive process, particularly when dealing with hundreds of transactions.
Our Suggested Improvement
It would be extremely helpful if Xero could introduce an option within Cash Coding that allows users to select an existing Sales Invoice or Bill and then select multiple bank transactions to allocate against that invoice or bill in one go.
For example:
Select the relevant Monthly Sales Invoice.
Select all the individual payments received against that invoice.
Allocate and reconcile all the selected payments together in one action.
At present, there is no option within Cash Coding to select an existing Sales Invoice or Bill for this purpose.
Introducing this functionality would save a significant amount of time, reduce repetitive manual work, minimise the possibility of human error, and make the reconciliation process much more efficient.
We strongly believe this would be a valuable improvement for many Xero users, particularly businesses that receive a large number of individual payments against a single monthly invoice.
We kindly request that your development team seriously considers this feature and looks into introducing it as part of a future Xero update.

I appreciate the opportunity to share suggestions that could help improve the Xero experience for everyone. I genuinely believe this idea has the potential to be meaningful, practical, and beneficial not only to me but also to a wider range of Xero users.
I hope the Community team will give this suggestion careful consideration and explore the possibility of developing it into a useful feature. I would also welcome feedback and input from other community members, as their experiences and support could help demonstrate the wider value and demand for this improvement.
