Thanks for your contributions and voting on this idea, community. While we're seriously taking on board your feedback for how and why being able to hold selections across pages would be helpful when processing batch payments, we want to be open that this isn't a focus area for product at this time.
We'll continually reassess ideas where there's opportunity, so please keep adding your votes and interest, here. If there's any development planned we'll be certain to share this with you all.

Forget it everyone, Xero is much more interested in messing up other stuff than providing much needed functionality. I really dislike this whole "ideas" thing. This is essential for business but they really don't care. Maybe they're focussed on attracting much smaller businesses and people who require more will need to go elsewhere.

Why do we have to have pages anyway, far easier to just scroll down?

This is a basic functional requirement - it should be a focus for Xero. Very sad that you can't be bothered addressing this issue.

Yes agreed Lori about sorting of transactions, it's a bug in Xero. It was fixed in a previous version and then re-introduced a while back when they made another change. We sort by supplier and by reference and then when processing the batch it re-sorts it randomly into any old order, so another step for us to edit and re-sort again.

This has now been requested for almost 2 years. I can't see the point of this request system if nothing gets acted on.
Meanwhile Xero messes around with functions and screens that previously worked perfectly and makes everything more difficult to use.
Xero a few years ago was excellent, now it's pretty ordinary. An error occurred while saving the comment Margaret Nicholas commented
Yes I fully agree, this functionality is on a "wish list" while they continue to stuff up every change that is made. Xero was very good in the beginning and now they've lost the plot. Every change they make is not properly tested and introduces new bugs which you then have to request a change for wtf?? I would change to another provider in a heart beat if they offered what Xero had a few years ago before they messed it all up.

Yes and please can we have the same functionality on screens, to reduce the spread out width with lots of negative space. Reading a small font on a large spread out screen is terrible.

I logged a case with Xero support because as I would type new invoice numbers over the default numbers it would revert back to defaults or insert them in the middle of the numbers I was entering.
This turns out to be an issue caused by autosave and the advice was to wait until the autosave finishes. Who has time to pause for a few seconds on each invoice when you have hundreds to enter? Now if I don't check every invoice number I end up with a lot of errors.
Autosave is total overkill when most of my invoices are one line only.
It slows everything down and massively impacts my work-flow.
I didn't switch to new invoicing until I absolutely had to due to the loss of functionality. Now Xero needs to be fixing these things that are deficiencies in the software and looking after us long-term users.
Please Xero listen and fix it - make autosave optional.
