Bills - Add an Autosave function

It would be really useful if Bills autosaved to Drafts - as happens when you enter an Invoice. Because Invoices are autosaved, you are in that mindset and can often forget that you have to click Save or Approve for a Bill to be logged.

    This would be disastrous. Please do NOT do this - it's already ruined the invoices. NO,I do NOT want this feature.

    NO NO NO. This is a terrible idea. Xero, please don't mess with bills. They work fine just as they are. Autosave on invoicing is a nightmare. If you want consistency, please don't have autosave on either.

    Do not mess up bills with autosave like you have with new invoicing.

    In this type of situation, provide a large pop-up window that people can't miss to give them the option to save the changes before leaving the page, like so many other websites do.

    If you were a company that cares about its longstanding customers, you would implement this feature for invoicing as well, negating the autosave mess

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! DON'T TOUCH BILLS!! Autosave on New Invoicing has made it impossible to work with. All it needs is a reminder to pop up, asking if you want to save or not.

    @Peter Rickert, you say that other programs have autosave, yes but they also have the option of reverting back to previous versions, in case you have made a mistake.

    DO NOT MAKE XERO EVEN WORSE THAN IT IS...!

    Nooooo please don't wreck bill entry in the same way that autosave has messed up invoice entry. If you implement this it MUST BE OPTIONAL. We don't have the option to turn autosave off in invoicing and it's a nightmare.

    Agree with the calls for consistency but, equally, I want to see Autosave made optional. In its current form, it is simply utter **** and causes way more headaches than it solves.

    For the record, I'm not voting this up as I simply don't trust Xero not to use my vote to falsely claim that we asked for more Autosave, while conveniently ignoring the issues it causes.

    PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!!
    Autosave in invoicing is a nightmare and I use bills 10 times more than invoicing. I cannot justify the increase in work hours to my customers and employer for the program lagging. Not to mention the mental health impacts.

    There has to be another solution, or at the very least be able to have it optional, not mandatory like in invoicing.

    @Peter Rickert - I'm not sure what other programs you are using that have autosave?

    Better not to have autosave on either!!! If you use Dext then they are automatically put into draft and saved so it is there. I think it's the same with HubDoc.

    Please do not do autosave for bills. Do not spread the new invoicing disaster to the bill module. Just make a pop-up reminder for us when we are closing the tab or browser.

    It's ridiculous this isn't a feature. At the very least implement a warning pop up if the user is going to click off

    Agree!!!
    I created three draft bills that took considerable time and effort. I didn't click save as every other web based program has autosave. Unbelieveable that Xero doesn't. I feel that Xero is quickly falling behind and costing more. Doesn't bode well for the long term.
