New Invoicing - Autosave in edit mode
New Invoicing Autosave function - Does not work in Edit Mode
When you create a new invoice the autosave function is there.
However, if you approve an invoice and then try to edit it, then the autosave is not there and you must manually click update.
Can you please make this feature more consistent. Either everything is autosave or not autosave. Having some aspects will create confusion and lost data

Autosave is horrendous & needs to be made optional for those who DO want it to turn it on. Then the rest of us who hate it can have it turned off.

DON'T DO IT! Your killing your customers will to work with this.

NO No NO! Please don't hinder our invoicing any further by implementing this. I voted Not at all, but please know it is critical that this is not even considered.

NOOO!!! Better to get rid of all autosave functions or make them an option.
Once an invoice is approved, and I assume sent, then it becomes a legal document so you should not be making any changes to it without serious consideration. The autosave on XERO in its current state makes you lose the original information without having the ability to revert back to the original copy. I have to print my drafts before working on them a second time to make sure I can refer to the original content in case of mistakes. What a waist of paper!!!

NO please do not implement this. Having autosave for invoice entry is really bad and it can't be switched off. Invoicing now takes 2 or 3 times as long as before. Do not wreck anything else!

Agree with the calls for consistency but, equally, I want to see Autosave made optional. In its current form, it is simply utter **** and causes way more headaches than it solves.
For the record, I'm not voting this up as I simply don't trust Xero not to use my vote to falsely claim that we asked for more Autosave, while conveniently ignoring the issues it causes.

I agree that everything should be autosave or not autosave. But for the love of Mike, so many of us are desperately trying to get Xero to make the [censored] Autosave a feature that can be turned off!

Better if no autosave at all! It's dangerous - you can delete things in error and it autosaves it! Better to have a "do you really want to exit?" button to remind you to save it! But yes, consistency would be good but not what you suggest!

It is a recipe for disaster! When the invoice is approved, we must not edit it in an autosave mode unless there is an option to reverse our steps.

Further, it's important to ensure invoice details are autosaved if switching between New/Classic invoicing. Yesterday my colleague spent a long time adding to an invoice draft, but when switching from Classic to New Invoicing, all the additions were lost! An hour and much patience down the drain.
