Hi everyone, understand the confusion in some of the recent comments here. To explain how this works at present - A report will automatically default to portrait or landscape mode based on the width of the report. The more columns you add, Xero will automatically switch the layout from portrait to landscape mode.
The same report should not change from user to user, if you're finding this it may be worth checking your printer fit settings and if these differ.
We don't have plans for developing an option of whether a report prints in landscape or portrait mode atm, but our teams are across the interest of this, so if there's any change we'll share an update on this with you, here.

Thank community, we appreciate all your involvement on this idea. We understand the ability to bulk export or print attached files would be a huge time-saver, especially for year-end audits, client communication, and general record-keeping.
We’ve evaluated the complexity of this feature against other priorities on our roadmap. Atm, this isn't in our plans however we'd like to explore bulk downloading of files from Xero in the longer term. I'll share an update when we're able to give more attention to this, here.
For the meantime if this is essential for you right now, you may like to explore third-party integrations through our Xero app store which could meet your needs here.

We very much could use this feature. I'm hesitant to move our entire accounting firm onto this software without this feature because if it doesn't workout we have no way of moving off of Xero...
Xero needs this feature. Otherwise, it's clear to me Xero is more concerned with holding clients captive than it is providing a easy to use service. It's like subscriptions where its' easy to sign up but difficult to cancel.
This needs to be streamlined in case a client wants to move off of the software.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your feedback on this idea. We appreciate you explaining how important more control over lock dates is for protecting your data integrity and supporting your workflows.
As part of our wider review of roles and permissions across Xero, we’re pleased to let you know that this is a feature that we’re exploring controls in and reviewing the viability of. We'll keep you updated here as our plans shape up further.

Thanks for signalling your interest and sharing with us through this idea, team.
We understand why you'd like a setting for defaults when you drill down through the Account Transactions report. This is something our reporting product team have taken a closer look at, however the solution isn't a simple change and we want to be upfront that at this stage we don't have any plans for. We will share if there are any updates here.

SUPER IMPORTANT! WHY WOULD YOU NOT SHOW THE CONTACT NAME? HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO REVIEW LEDGERS WITHOUT THIS INFORMATION?
REMOVE THE DATE AND THE AMOUNT WHILE YOU'RE AT IT... WHO NEEDS THIS INFO ANYWAYS?
DATE, DESCRIPTION, AMOUNT, AND TYPE OF TRANSACTION ARE THE BASICS. WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN ARE ALL SUPER BASIC AND REQUIRED. LAUGHABLE THAT THIS WOULD BE LEFT OFF...
IF YOU WANT TO BE AN ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE YOU NEED TO ACT LIKE ONE PLEASE. DON'T LEAVE OUT THE BASICS.
