Hi community, we understand your needs in this feature and want to assure you were taking on board all your feedback.

As many of you accustom to this idea will know, multiple addresses requires a complex solution. It's been something we’ve been moving towards for some time and we’ve done a lot of back end work that will allow us to bring it to you in the future.

We have 12 different products within Xero that rely on contact data, as well as many of our app partners. This means that contacts need to seamlessly flow across technology, products and all connections on Xero. And that’s exactly what we’ve been working on.

One of the reasons we announced the retirement of classic invoicing is because many of the features being asked for, just can’t be brought into classic invoicing. The old technology has too many technology limitations to enable this.…

Sorry it's all platitudes as we've been waiting about 5 years for one simple idea to be implemented (but we need about 15 things - including this issue to be actually dealt with rather than just commented on that they "are looking at it").

Please do not waste your time and energy on Xero - unless you have a very simple business with single customers and simple sales, Xero is not up to it in any form.

We have started moving all 3 of our businesses over (all over £1m t/o) to QB as they offer the right balance. Yes there's a few niggles - but not basic ones like Xero.

If they stopped creating such stupid ads and stopped being Aus/NZ centric in their development processes, maybe they'd take their customers in Europe a bit more seriously.

Bye bye Xero I won't miss you.

    @graham @sally @everyone

They have no interest. Sorry to disappoint.

Some bean counter has worked out that the churn rate for disgruntled clients will be less than the new customers they attract with their sh*t adverts on TV here in the UK.

So income goes up. Everyone (* at Xero) happy.

In 2023 there were 5,510,265 businesses of 0-49 emplyees - their target market. So there is an awfully big pool of people that will sign up and think all works fine for a few months.

They have zero interest in us and the only way we can ever get what we want is to actually walk.

We have moved 3 of our businesses off Xero - the next one will go as soon as eoy completed. Makes little difference in real terms - but at least I know I am not lining their pockets and providing bonuses for the feckless Directors.

    Hi Kim,

Well the thread started in 2022 and I believe there have been 2 updates from Xero staff since.

What you may not be aware of is the fact there used to be another system for ideas and reporting issues - that was "wiped" (sorry archived) due to the 3 or 4+ years of comments and ideas that were never actioned.

So in short - don't hold your breath.

I honestly believe a very high proportion of users (30% +) are seriously just waiting for a better online option that has the features of Xero - but actually cares about their paying customers.

Yep requested along with 1000 other things (all about 5 to 10 years ago on the old ideas and comments system they conveniently removed) that would have made Xero the best in the market - but they know best.

It's telling that the last update from Xero was March 06, 2023.

We're talking about "Ability to create and save multiple addresses for a single contact record"

Anone would think they are working with NASA the amount of time this has taken - 78 days and counting - sorry I'll be kind... only 53 working days have elapsed :|

p1ss poor from a company that really doesn't give a dam n about it's paying subscribers.

Xero - Probably one of the least Agile online companies I have ever come across.

We appreciate wanting to see more rapid movement, everyone. Having done a lot of exploration into this area our team have a good handle on the needs to solve this, however we want to be honest that development will be some time away with the team currently focused on improving bills list views and updating add/edit bill pages. For the time being to keep you up to date we're going to move this idea back to Submitted until more active work takes place for this.

I can assure you this idea is the best place to be leaving feedback for this feature, and Xero Product Ideas as a whole is the best place to be sharing where you'd like to see change across Xero products. As a community team we're advocating on your behalf constantly to see where ideas can be worked on, and this site is where our product…

Well there's your answer if you're in the UK : Check your email.

Xero pricing changes in the United Kingdom

They have to pay for their coffees - s**t advertising and World Cup sponsorship somehow.

Anyone know a good package out there that can handle :

    Accounting
    PO's
    Quotes
Products in to a database in order to create quotes.

I would rather pay more now than stay with a company that clearly doesn't value it's customers - the only way they will listen!

Collis - exactly what most long term users have been saying for 5 years or more... there is no two way communication or listening exercise with Xero. It's their way or no way.

The truth of the matter is we're all mugs for continuing to pay monthly for a sub standard product...

LOL - good to see Xero sponsoring football tournaments but not sorting out business critical issues.

"We're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed for bills, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. If there's any change we will let you know on the thread here. Thanks "

Well that was Nov 22 - so if they can't get a handle on what is needed by so many by now - there is no hope.

    Hi Sharon,

Sorry to disagree - I would NOT rather pay more - as this and about 100 other things everyone keeps bang ing on about - should be basic features for any accounting package worth it's salt.

The fact they are not - means we're already being fleeced for the dev team to sit with coffee changing things they think could 'look' better.

    Hi Jim

Great though your 'tool' maybe (and I am sure it is) I do notice that you have to pay https://inbill.com.au/#pricing

Why should we have to then pay for yet another piece of software - when actually this functionality is something the existing software should have built in years ago and is not, dev-wise, that difficult.

    Just Xero taking the ****

I wouldn't offer my services to help bail Xero out of their self-made position.

Thanks for staying connected with us here in product ideas, team. As many will have noticed, our new Fixed Assets experience has been released to most users now. I'm happy to share that development for attaching a file to Fixed Assets in this new experience is moving along. We're hoping to have this delivered to everyone over the coming weeks, and I'll share more detail once it's here in where and how you can atta h a file to an asset 🙂

As this feature is limited to the new experience, if you have an AU business that uses pooling and is still working with the older version of Fixed Assets this feature won't be available until we move you across to the new experience.
