Thanks for your feedback, Karen. 🙏
So others in the forum understanding what they're specifically adding their support for I've adjusted the title to reflect your first idea for filtering the Profit & Loss.
History of project activity is quite a different ask - we have an idea for recording history for all user activity that you may like to support and share in too. 🙂

Hi Milda
The option you describe is for tracking categories renamed as Projects. Xero Projects isn't integrated into the P&L.

Hi Victoria, the filter available in the P&L is for Tracking Categories and not Projects. You are possibly using Tracking Categories for your projects and you may have ran out of Tracking Categories available for reporting. Xero has a maximum number of 200 in Tracking Categories and although Xero allows you to create more, it won’t report on them.

Hi everyone, as part of the work we're doing here, we're looking to engage some small businesses as well as accountants and bookkeepers who use our Payroll functionality to try out our new prototypes and give us feedback.
We'd look to set up a video call over the next 3 weeks which'll take about 60 minutes. If you'd be interested in taking part, please apply by using this form. 😊 Thanks

Thanks for your feedback, everyone. We really appreciate you sharing your thoughts and the needs you've expressed about how auto linking recurring invoices to projects would save time, and give you more insights into project profitability.
The primary way to link repeating invoice line items to a project is to manually assign them to the project once the invoice has been generated, though we know you're looking for ways to streamline this process.
We've carefully reviewed all your comments and the strong desire for this functionality, however after much consideration, we've decided that we won't be developing the ability to assign repeating invoices to projects in the foreseeable future.
We understand this news might be disappointing, especially for those who've been vocal about this need for some time. Decisions like these are always tough. We have to balance a wide range of requests and development priorities across all aspects of…

So disappointed this has still not been added. It’s crucial for those using projects. Many clients have moved to QBO.

Thanks so much for jumping in and sharing your thoughts on this, community. We really appreciate you taking the time to explain how improvements to Hubdoc's data extraction would help you.
We see how extracting more detail could help cut down manual data entry, and it's worth highlighting that since this idea was started we've added a few enhancements that may have solved the needs for some in this idea;
- Upload in Bills - you can now drag & drop or upload bills directly to your Xero organisation which could save you an extra step not having to publish
- Credit note detection - Hubdoc can now detect when publishing a Credit Note and will get you to review the document
- Improved the accuracy of the supplier
Front-footing here we want to let you know that we don't have further developments planned for extracting more line item details within Hubdoc. If…

@victoria Elmsly Timesheets cannot be added to tracking categories and you can only have 200 tracking categories live at any one time. When you need more, you have to archive the first 100. Most of our projects are ongoing. Also, you constantly be comparing between the two systems to check everything has been captured.
