    Hi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.

    Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:

    • what’s available in new invoicing right now,
    • timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
    • a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.

    We'll be updating this page regularly.


    Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

    @FionaDavidson Funny I have thought the same thing today as I have entered loads of bills today. Except it really isn't funny is it!!!
    If they do the same as for invoicing I shall have to find another system. I am not happy about the new pricing and the change in points as I think I am going to lose my bronze status and therefore lose my 15% discount which I pass on to my clients.
    Going back to invoicing I really cannot understand why all the existing features were not included before the new version was released. Such a backward step.

    The main reason the contact is copied is to make sure the correct contact is used. Without that function invoices could be sent to the wrong contact if you have multiple contacts with similar names.

    I wish the term overpayment would be renamed. When clients see overpayments it looks like I have made mistakes when it is not the case. It is usually called payment on account on other systems.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate all the votes and comments on this idea. We’ve heard your feedback and recognise how helpful it would be to see invoices and bills awaiting approval directly from the dashboard.

    The good news is that a solution is currently in development. As you might’ve heard, we’re currently working on a new navigation and homepage experience, which is currently in Beta.

    As part of this update, you'll be able to view the # of awaiting approval invoices or bills from the Bills to pay or Invoice owed to you widgets, and can go straight to the relevant screen from the new Task widget helping you stay on top of approvals without needing to jump between pages - You'll just need the right user permissions to see this.

    It would be really useful to add this to the dashboard.
    My client keeps thinking he has more money available than he has.
    The report for this is not very helpful as it has duplicate lines that have to be removed before sending to client.
