Account Transactions: Receipts - Send automated 'payment received' e-mail when payment is reconciled
335 votesHi all, appreciate and understand the support in being able to automate processes such as communication of payment received with a customer.
Though seemingly simple there are a few complexities that'd need to be accommodated for when considering the solution here - such as behaviour for re-reconciliations (Remove & redo has been used), split transactions or Mark as reconciled is used.
Our product teams in this area are working on building on beautiful experiences throughout Bank Reconciliation, which you'd have have experienced this first with the Reconcile tab and they are now moving through other pages and features in Bank Rec - This'll take some time and with that at the fore-front right now we want to be upfront that we don't have immediate plans to add an automated email when a transaction line is reconciled.
As we embark work on the Account Transactions tab we'll be able to revisit…

Hi 👋 you can set up direct debit payment services with GoCardless which enables more seamless payment collection from your customers.
Being rather security conscious we don't have any plans for enabling export of this sort of information from Xero any time in the near future and you may want to explore other options like the GoCardless integration for now.
We'll keep an eye on the interest for this here.

Thanks for your expressions and feedback in a bulk download or print facility for Files (either from the Files library or at an individual transaction level)
We know that bulk operations can be handy, however at this time we have no plans to develop this functionality. We know it might seem like a small feat, however often even small change is more tightly woven and intricate to solve beneath the surface.
While we understand this must be frustrating to hear, we’re currently focused on making improvements in other areas of Xero and are unable to prioritise a bulk download or print feature right now.
However, in situations like these there are often connected apps through the Xero App Store that may be able to assist. We appreciate and will revise solutions that could fulfil needs in this space, but want to be honest this isn’t something we have plans for…An error occurred while saving the comment Lynn Tan supported this idea · -

Hi Nur Fatini, it'd be good to get more understanding from you here as it sounds like the Account Transactions report could serve the purpose or perhaps simply creating a receipt of the spend money?

If the payment is occurring at a different time to the transaction being entered is there a reason why the transaction is not being recorded as a bill, Anne-Marie?
There are lots of efficiencies in how bills can now be created in Xero without much manual intervention so would be good to understand more of the detail behind your business needs, here.

While our team will continue to review this idea, Xero Tax remains a Partner only product with tools and capabilities that help Xero Partners serve their clients with ease, and we don't have immediate intentions of changing this. Again, we'd like to encourage that if you're not currently connected to a Xero Partner you can find one that can serve your advisor needs through our Advisor Directory. Should have the ability to export all bills attachment as a backup for Company. It is double work for the User to "Snap" photo using Xero app and yet, has to scan another copy to own email / drive to keep a record.
