Please add this as an option as there are several scenarios where this would be useful, such as for comparing Xero reports in different GLs to reports provided by Shopify or other third-party providers where the Item Code is the unique feature to identifying transactions.

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback about managing working patterns for part-time employees.

We’re pleased to share that we plan to begin rolling out working patterns in AU Payroll later this year.

The first release will allow you to set a one-week work pattern for each employee. This pattern will automatically be used for leave and public holiday calculations in the pay run. At this stage, you’ll still need to update the employee’s pay template separately to reflect their standard working hours.

We plan to build on this foundation by connecting working patterns with standard hours in the pay run and supporting a broader range of working patterns. We’ll share more details as the first release gets closer.

Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback and I do want to apologise for any confusion my update's caused. You're correct in that the responsibility outlined in my response is relevant to the concessional contribution cap. Seeing your responses today, we now appreciate that the idea here is specifically around the maximum contribution base.

I want to assure you this is something our product teams are paying close attention to and though we don't have any immediate plans we can share, we will consider this request as we continue to plan our roadmap - We encourage you to share any further details on your experiences related to managing the maximum contribution base as these will be helpful to the product team as they assess this feature.

Kelly, this is incorrect. The quarterly contributions base is an employer contributions limit. This has nothing to do with other income an employee has (you may be thinking of the concessional/non-concessional contributions caps, which are affected by other contributions).

This definitely should be included as a payroll function in Xero. The functionality is included as standard in most other payroll packages.

Please see here for basic information on the Maximum Super Contributions Base:

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your thoughts on having a payroll report that calculates payroll state tax. We understand some of you are required to calculate tax across multiple states.

While we don't currently have a report which calculates earnings based on state, some of you have mentioned workarounds such as using the Payroll Activity Summary report. This report includes earnings totals and can be filtered by a date range and employee groups.

We recognise the value a report of this nature could have for our customers and it’s been added to the wider pool of ideas for our product team to consider for future development.

While it’s not on our immediate roadmap, we’ll be sure to keep you looped in if there’s any progress.

Hi everyone, understand the confusion in some of the recent comments here. To explain how this works at present - A report will automatically default to portrait or landscape mode based on the width of the report. The more columns you add, Xero will automatically switch the layout from portrait to landscape mode.

The same report should not change from user to user, if you're finding this it may be worth checking your printer fit settings and if these differ.

We don't have plans for developing an option of whether a report prints in landscape or portrait mode atm, but our teams are across the interest of this, so if there's any change we'll share an update on this with you, here.
