Hi community, we appreciate everyone's engagement here. To confirm we have intentions of developing the purchase order experience, however developing Projects into this does have some complexities and requires work across both purchase orders and projects to deliver.
Right now our initial focus is releasing the new purchase order experience to all users.
While we don't have a timeframe for assigning PO's to Projects at this stage, this is top of our product teams radar and we'll communicate here as soon as there's an update.

Get in line mate. This was asked for a long tima ago and instead we get reorganized tabs which nobody cares for.

Thats a lame answer admin. The POs and Invoices and Quotes are all the same so if we can assign quotes and invoices why not POs? Its getting a bit old with the same answer about underlying work being done. All we want is to be able to see Quotes, invoices and POs all in the same spot for each project. I am not an expert by any means but it cant be that hard. Just get it done or seriously we are going to look at other options. Our subscription has doubled yet only difference we have seen is the Invoices interface. Although I dont mind it it wasnt anything we couldnt do without. Concentrate on what people actually want rather than what you think people might want.

I think its a little bit ignorant to not have this feature already. Its getting seriously annoying to have to always search through POs for a PO designated to a particular project. Just like invoices and quotes are assigned to a project why cant the POs have the same feature then everything is visible in one place. Price keeps going up and all that changes is the interface.

This is an important part of our daily struggle. If we raise a PO for materials on a certain project we need to be able to attach it to that project so we are not forever searching for it. If we had a list of POs on each project it would make life much easier. Also a way to mark a PO as received woulf be great.

This if anything is a MUST. I don't know why this isn't one of the first things you do as it is vital in project management.

Hi everyone, though there isn't any progress to share on this idea we do want to provide and update for you all and thank you for engaging with us about this here.
We understand the desire and needs for being able to change or set a separate reply to email address when sending from your Xero organisation.
We're continuing to make improvements to sending of invoices in Xero however at this point our roadmaps does not extend to the email settings specifically.
This continues to be an area we're interested in diving deeper into in the long term and we'll be sure to share as soon as there's movement.
For the time being the only way to change the Reply-to email is to update this on the email settings screen prior to sending your transaction and change it back post sending. Thanks

Needs to happen ASAP. Need to be able to send quotes from one email and receive accounts and bills to another.

Hi team, we appreciate hearing how splitting batch payments could make reconciliation faster and less manual, especially when only one invoice from a batch is paid and the rest remain outstanding.
We agree there’s a real opportunity here to simplify the process. While this isn’t something we’re building right now, it’s part of a broader set of ideas we’re considering as we look at how to make reconciliation more flexible and efficient.
For UK and US customers we have online bill payments that make the batch and reconciliation process much simpler - If you’re not too familiar with online bill payments you can get to know more through Xero Central and learn if this solution is right for you;

Hi community, we understand how being able to send quote reminders like you can for invoices, would help with following up on uncommitted work with your customers and potentially locking in sales.
For the time being, as many will be aware you can resend a quote that’s already been sent, by clicking the 3 dot menu in the top right and choosing ‘Send’, where you’ll have the option to change the email and who it’s being addressed to.
This is something we have intentions of diving into discovery for this year and I’ll return to share more news when things progress. Thanks

Hi community, we appreciate this idea has collected a fair amount of votes and commentary. This has all been feedback and taken seriously by our product teams.
Currently, there are ways to record a bad debt in Xero, depending on your tax registration status and how you want the transactions to be recorded in your reports - We have help for this on Xero Central you can draw into.
We don’t have any plans in the near term to expand functionality to develop a button to write off invoices or bills as 'bad debt'. If anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

Hi community, we acknowledge the strong feelings in this idea and why you need a feature to flag bills directly within Xero. We really appreciate all your feedback and the detailed explanations of how this would help streamline your accounts payable.
We are dedicated to providing a solution for this over the longer term, but this will take some time requiring changes that sit beneath the face of bills.
In lieu of a direct feature for this we wanted to highlight some of the options discussed by the community here:
- Add a note to the bill: A detailed note on the bill itself can serve as a clear internal reminder of the dispute.
- Utilise tracking categories: Creating a specific tracking category like "Disputed Bills" can help you filter and report on these items.
- Adjust the due date: Temporarily extending the due date can prevent accidental payment while the dispute is…

This is getting really frustrating. We have been asking for this for as long as we can remember but Xero seems to be more concerned about updating widgets on the dashboard. Nobody cares about the widgets. If I want to look at my analytics I will easily click on a tab like it used to be. I would rather be able to see the purchase orders I have raised for a project in that project so I dont have to search every time. If we open a project we see quotes and invoices so I dont understand how doing the same for purchase orders is so complicated. I dont think Xero care too much because they have tripled their prices since we first signed up seven years ago and they just rely on people not having the time to look for alternatives. We will be looking into alternatives this financial year and if this is not fixed will be transitioning at the end of the financial year.
