Thanks for sharing, Matthew. We don't have any plans for making this field mandatory atm but appreciate the extra steps of having to redo if it's been overlooked. We'll start to get a sense of the wider interest for this here.

Hey everyone, we know it can be tricky when you're managing lots of client accounts and need a way to easily tell them apart in Xero.
Thanks for your feedback on how a visual cue, like being able to set different colours for each organisation, would help cut down on confusion and those accidental data entries.
We've seen some of you have found workarounds, like using Chrome extensions or third-party Google add-ons for customisation. It's great to see the community finding creative ways to tackle this in the interim.
Right now, adding this feature isn't in our immediate plans. This is something we'll continue to keep an eye on the support for and may reconsider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates around this here.

Hi everyone, we'd like to provide an update as we’ve recently launched the new Manual Journals experience in the US, in which this idea has now been addressed.
From the Manual Journals list, you can toggle the “Show manual journals on a cash basis” setting on or off. This sets the default for all journals you create in that org, and it can also be changed within individual journals.
This is currently available in the US only, but we’re planning to roll it out to other regions soon. I’ll keep this thread updated as it lands in more places.

We have several entities set up in Xero with very similar names, charts of accounts and a number of key suppliers who are common amongst the entities. This often leads to processing transactions in the wrong entity as it's frustrating to have to open different entities in different browsers or incognito tabs.
It would be great if we could customise the colour of the banner/menu bar within each entity so that we had a quick visual reference to be able to identify which entity we are currently logged into.
