Organisation Settings - Ability to set colour of organisation
Ability to set colour of organisation in the naivgational banner
Purpose: To help distinguish between clients, and avoid entering data incorrectly when working with multiple clients.
Hey everyone, we know it can be tricky when you're managing lots of client accounts and need a way to easily tell them apart in Xero.
Thanks for your feedback on how a visual cue, like being able to set different colours for each organisation, would help cut down on confusion and those accidental data entries.
We've seen some of you have found workarounds, like using Chrome extensions or third-party Google add-ons for customisation. It's great to see the community finding creative ways to tackle this in the interim.
Right now, adding this feature isn't in our immediate plans. This is something we'll continue to keep an eye on the support for and may reconsider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates around this here.

I would definitely like this to be an option. When you change businesses, if you accidently leave a page from a different company open you cannot distinguish it and this causes problems with saving data. The browser does not allow two companies to be open at once, which I find ridiculous. Also could you please allow us to use a dark mode on the screen, the whiteness is killing me, as well as ability to change the font.

This should be simple enough to implement!

Not only change the colour of the company letters but of the whole header toolbar to make it VERY clear which company you are in! See attached

I operate 4 companies. Different colours woul make it easier to know what company I am in rather than having to check on the headboard

This really shouldnt be difficult to do - to set a colour or a nickname for the organisation on the drop down would be so freaking helpful

This should be relatively straightforward to develop and would be an invaluable addition for thousands of Xero customers. For reference, Sage Intacct already offers this functionality.

Yes, 100% I agree with this idea.

We have multiple companies and it would be easier to have a visual aid to help recognise between them

This is significant as our companies operate with a specific colour scheme.
Unfortunately XERO has chosen the opposing colour schemes for both our companies.
This is going to make things confusing.
Please offer a solution to this problem. -

Colors & Highlighting
When you scroll down to select an account, it would be great if we could change the color scheme or highlight style. -

This will definitely help me. I somehow switch between companies sometimes without realising. So having it colour coded would be amazing.

Yes, after many years asking Xero to do this, I have used the chrome extension which is $4.99 a month, and it works great.
Its a pity Xero doesn't listen to us and we have to go out and pay extra for this feature which should be an easy job for them to do. -

Someone recommended a third party GOOGLE add on which I have downloaded @ a cost of $4.99/ month but can seem to make it work?

THIS NEEDS TO BE ACTIONED ASAP - I am currently bookkeeping for 6 venues under one main company & it's a nightmare, particularly with the Inter-company processing!!!!
Simple ask really in the scheme of things Hubdoc should also mirror this!!!

In the Organization switcher on the browser version, be able to display the Org logo - else at least set a colour or short name that is easily identifiable.
It seems like the colours used change at random, and with 4 companies that start with the same naming, it makes it tricky to switch easily.
