Hi everyone, we appreciate your patience & would like to thank everyone who’s shared their thoughts and supported this idea.
Xero's payroll reports do currently offer some options to adjust columns, filters & layout. However we hear & understand the need for having additional information & more flexibility with payroll reporting, including the ability to customise & save reports for future use.
Being open here, these improvements are not in our current pipeline. However we'll use this feedback to shape how we plan future improvements in Xero Payroll reports.

240 votesHi team, we appreciate all the feedback this idea has received over time. With our reimagined navigation this is something our product teams considered closely, however there is a bit of work involved to achieve what's being asked and we want to be open it's not in the roadmap right now. However, we're keeping a pulse on the feedback here and will be sure to share if there's any progress. Thanks

As an extension of this request, I would like to be able to export payroll reports to excel - currently they are all automatically pdf and I can't opt to export like other reports in Xero.
Additionally the standard reports do not show the information I require. For example, the P32 is so small you can't read it. It does not have the month number included (UK, January is month 10. I have to start at April each time to check!). Then PAYE is listed as Income Tax. It is not income tax, it is PAYE! The employer and employee NIC are added together - I need to see them separately for my accounts and payments but there is no report where this is easily shown. I have to go to payroll detail reports than calculate manually. Because I can't download into excel. Plus the summary and detail reports are not useful as there are no totals - the summary total shows no specific detail for individual employees but the full detail for the employee shows no totals. Which would be ok if I could download into excel to calculate. So I have to calculate manually. I have to say everything else about Xero is great but the payroll is horrid. I have just moved from Sage and am beginning to regret it.... please someone check how easy Sage is and try and make Xero similar. Or simply allow us to download reports into excel! I will provide copies of Sage reports if required
