Hey community,
As some of you are aware, you can edit a contact and set a credit limit, and optionally block new invoices when the credit limit is reached in new invoicing.
Understand that a few of you are asking for a feature to put a stop on a contact so they can’t be sent invoices regardless of what their credit limit is, as well as others who'd like to see this implemented on the supplier side.
We'd like to confirm that this is not something we have plans to develop at this time. We're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here 👀

User roles impact all areas of the product, there are many considerations we must factor in when assessing how to solve for majority of our customers needs - As you can see there is a large range of ideas for different roles shared by customers in Product Ideas.
We’re conducting research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. Hi team, appreciate the feedback here and it appears there are 2 differing ideas being bought up here. This idea was originally started relating to the invoice branding theme. Being open, while we will look at improvements to invoice templates down the line this isn't planned just yet.
More recent conversation appears to be related to the new invoicing send modal and formatting of emails sent from Xero. We have a slightly different idea those who are interested in this can join and you'll see I recently updated - While the tool bar has been removed from the send window, you can still use html tags to format and preview how these look in your email.

Thanks for everyone's support in this idea. We understand the strong feelings expressed in your comments, where an invoice can be accidentally approved when still needing to go through a review or remain in a draft status.
As suggested by some users in this thread, if this has already occurred an option for now would be to add a note to the history of the invoice so other users are aware of the action and what needs to be done, or alternatively Void the invoice and copy to a new Draft invoice (consider if you need to change the invoice # before voiding the approved one, so you can use this on the new draft invoice).
While not a resolution for this idea, to avoid mistakenly approving an invoice an option could be to make use of the keyboard shortcuts that are now available in invoicing such as Save &…

Hi community, we acknowledge the strong feelings in this idea and why you need a feature to flag bills directly within Xero. We really appreciate all your feedback and the detailed explanations of how this would help streamline your accounts payable.
We are dedicated to providing a solution for this over the longer term, but this will take some time requiring changes that sit beneath the face of bills.
In lieu of a direct feature for this we wanted to highlight some of the options discussed by the community here:
- Add a note to the bill: A detailed note on the bill itself can serve as a clear internal reminder of the dispute.
- Utilise tracking categories: Creating a specific tracking category like "Disputed Bills" can help you filter and report on these items.

No quotes wouldn't work for this.
It's the stage before we receive the bill from the contractor (supplier). The contractor is applying for a value (the application), but when the invoice comes through the value may change, so we don't want to process as an invoice, but would still need to be on the system to be reviewed before the invoice is received and goes through as approved.
