Hi everyone, thanks for your engagement so far. It has been a while since this was raised, so we just want to refresh the idea.
Including the reporting period on the Activity Statement Substantiation Declaration could make it clearer for clients and advisors to identify exactly which BAS or IAS the declaration relates to, particularly when reviewing or signing documents.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this is something you'd like to see in Xero Tax, please continue to vote and share how it would support your workflow. Additional examples help our team better understand the impact of this request.

Hi Alison,
We're grateful for your engagement and for this very specific and useful suggestion for reporting in Xero Practice Manager.
We've reviewed your idea to be able to filter reports by tax returns that have been lodged as 'Final' for a specific year, and it's now open to gain support from other community members. We can definitely see how this filter would streamline end-of-year processes and remove the need to keep manual lists for cross-checking and archiving clients.
Along with votes, other practices can now comment to share more details on how this reporting criteria would improve their own client management workflows.🙂

This will really help keeping our database tidy and used to have it in APS.
Found it really helpful

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing the different types of relationships you'd like to be able to track in Practice Manager.
While we're making a lot of improvements to Clients with the new unified experience, we want to be upfront that developing more custom relationships like you're after here isn't on our roadmap.
We'll continue to monitor and track the interest of this idea for future planning, and if there's any change to the status of this one, we'll let you know here.

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your engagements with us here, and helping us understand future improvements that could enhance your use of Xero for managing your practice.
As you'll have likely seen we are in the process of releasing new client and staff experiences to unify our practice tools under what will soon become Xero Partner Hub.
With the current work in progress we want to be open that bulk updates like what's being asked here aren't in the roadmap atm, however this will be something we consider as we keep revising our roadmaps. If there are any updates we will share on this idea.

Thanks for starting the idea here, Renee.
Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?
If the last, we have a similar idea over here that I can join you in with. 🙂An error occurred while saving the comment

To be able to duplicate a client to stop typing in all duplicated information would be fabulous.
It would also be great if some fields require changing before duplicating as they are unique to the client - bank account, TFN, ABN, etc

I agree. The time it takes to run this report is inefficient.

The signed declaration on activity statements does not currently display the relevant reporting period. This information is important to clearly identify the period the declaration relates to.
We request an enhancement to the signed declaration section to include the applicable reporting period to ensure clarity and accuracy and even compliant.
