Hi community, though we appreciate the interest and would like to continue seeking feedback on being ale to clock in and out times on timesheets, to share an update from us here - this isn't something we have planned in the short term.
Our team will continue to review the ideas on these forums and I'll be sure to let you know if there are any changes for this to share. Thanks

We would love the 'check in' and 'check out' feature. We would also be able to add a tracking catergory and note on the same timesheet without multiple entries.

Hi everyone 🤚 thanks for the idea and support. I thought I'd pop in here to share that it can be possible to have your tracking options show in the Xero Me mobile app when approving timesheets. However to do this you'll need to choose the Total hours worked timesheet setting (instead of the Start & end hours option). Appreciate that this may not be suitable in all our customer's workflows, so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how important it is for your business to have monthly salaried employees complete timesheets for tracking and reporting purposes, without impacting pay run calculations.
Some of you have found workarounds like approving timesheets after processing pay runs, although this may create challenges down the line.
Our product team is currently undertaking a wider review of timesheets, and this idea will be included in that process. Therefore we're updating this idea to Accepted. We'll keep you updated if there are any developments on this.

It is unfortunate that neither the Xero Mo Timesheet or the Projects have a user friendly timesheet option where you can assign hours to a project/ customer with notes and the ability to 'start' and 'stop' or manually enter hours.
Having to pay for a 3rd party app when I use both of these programs in extremely frustrating.Karla White

I have tried XeroMe timesheet and Projects timesheet and neither are giving functionality required.
- Clock in / clock out at a push of a button
- Switch jobs function
- Assign time to a job
- Add notes of work that was completed.
These feel like quite necessary functions for timesheets in many businesses and having to pay for another 3rd party app to do this is extremely frustrating.
It seems you can perhaps get one or two of these functionality if you go into the timesheet multiple times but the timesheet entry feels very basic and not unable in it's current format.
