    Hi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.

    Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:

    • what’s available in new invoicing right now,
    • timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
    • a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.

    We'll be updating this page regularly.


    Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

    Its difficult to understand why you are not listening to your core customer base regarding the changes to Xero. Reading through the comments its just not working for so many people and we like and work well the way it looks and functions on so called "classic" invoicing. If you are determined to add "new" invoicing could you not at least leave us the choice to switch to whichever works best for us the users?

    It seems you are not listening to your customers. We don't want "New Invoicing" we like the software as it is. Why are you still ploughing on with the changes when its very obvious its not working for us.

    Please can you stop the pop up every time I raise an invoice telling me about new invoicing. I am aware but I don't like it so I'm clinging onto the old version as long as possible. Not sure why you are refusing to listen to your customer base and are ploughing on with this new interface which is obviously hugely unpopular. Please remove the annoying pop up

    The new interface for invoicing is nowhere near as user friendly as classic invoicing. The fact that you keep moving the roll out date back suggests I am not alone in disliking the new layout. The layout and flow of classic invoicing is far superior to the new interface and so much more user friendly. It looks like an invoice. I have 35 years experience working in accounts and I'm really not a fan of the new look, its seems to be designed by someone who doesn't use it they just design it. I have tried using it and keep switching back to classic. I'm not adverse to change if it works but this doesn't work. I use this everyday and its vital it works for your users not just looks how your designers want it to look. Please don't remove classic invoicing it could mean I have to switch to a different provider and I like Xero. If it ain't broke don't fix it, classic invoicing works very well. Please allow us the option if you insist on rolling out a new interface at least have the two options so we can choose. I am so happy this morning that I can still use classic invoicing for longer.

    Hi team, while we don't have immediate plans to change the placement of buttons on new invoicing we're interested in staying close to this feedback and I'll move the idea to Under review for the time being. We'll return to confirm any outcomes.

    We've been telling you for months new invoicing isn't working on a practical level for those of use that pay for your software. Why is no one listening ? Why not dump new invoicing as a bad decision or keep classic invoicing at least as an option.

    Hi everyone, while we appreciate your feedback here. With the retirement of classic invoicing in February, and to help customers get used to the new invoicing experience this default will continue to apply.

    As we continue to improve the new experience this means customers may find updates that help their workflow and adopt the new experience.

    The option to switch back to classic will be available and we understand this is the experience some customers may choose to use up until the retirement date.

    I really dislike new invoicing and am dreading being forced to use this by Xero when a perfectly good classic invoicing is removed later this month. I think it may be time to switch to QuickBooks. Shame but if you choose to ignore the customers then I suppose this is what happens. I would really be interested to now why its being forced on us, Xero have yet to let us know the reason behind the unpopular changes
