    Thanks for sharing this idea.

We’ve moved your idea to Gaining Support so other customers who need a lighter service-tracking workflow can find it and add their vote.

For now, there are a couple of workarounds depending on what you need. If you mainly want reusable service items, you can set these up as untracked inventory in Products & Services and use them to prefill invoice details for services you provide regularly. If you need to track time or tasks and invoice that work later, Xero Projects can already track time and expenses and create tasks and expenses invoices for uninvoiced work, although we appreciate this may feel more in-depth than the simple workflow you’re asking for.

Thanks again for taking the time to share how this could work better for your business 😊.

Thanks for sharing this idea 🌟 We can see how an extra confirmation step before deleting a transaction could help prevent accidental deletions and give users more confidence when making changes.

We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so we can better understand how many customers would value this and the different scenarios where it would be most useful. If this would make a difference for your workflow, please keep the votes and examples coming as they help our product team assess the impact.

We’ll continue to monitor the feedback here and share any updates as we learn more.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this idea 🌟

While we don’t currently support this file type, we can see why you’d like the ability to attach it in its original format.

We’re moving your idea to Gaining Support so we can gauge community interest and better understand how many customers would find this helpful in their invoicing workflow.

If others would benefit from this too, we’d encourage them to add their vote and share a little more about how they use these files, as that context can be really helpful for our team.

Hi, 💥Thanks for sharing this idea and for explaining the need so clearly. We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support while we continue to learn more about how customers would like this to work in Xero.

We understand the request is for a simpler, more professional way to include legal Terms of Trade on invoices and quotes, such as a short legal clause, a link to full terms, and a central place to manage this in organisation settings, without needing to attach extra pages to each document.

If this would be valuable for your business, please keep voting and add a comment with more detail about your use case.

Hi everyone, appreciate the continued interest and support this idea receives.

I know it's been sometime since our last update, and I understand frustration in recent comments wanting more news on where this is at.

I want to confirm our product teams still have good intentions to develop the ability to copy to a purchase order from within an invoice, however with the current option of being able to copy to from the invoice list and prioritisation of other pieces of work this isn't roadmapped just yet.

I totally get the needs here and hearing how you found this feature so useful. As soon as there's further news we'll make sure to share this with you all, here. Thanks

We appreciate your feedback on how we could improve new invoicing, and the details that would help you track when a customers has viewed your invoice. While recording I.P. address of when a user opens an invoice or quote you’ve sent isn’t in the plans right now, we’re continuing development in this space and our product teams would like to engage you all here to get a deepened sense of our invoicing users, for future improvements. If you'd be interested in sharing further feedback we have a survey you can fill in. We'd love to get your input.

Thanks for bringing this idea to the community.

Being able to exclude customers with zero balances or no activity directly within accounts receivable reports could make it easier to review outstanding balances without needing to manually filter the results.

We've updated this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking interest from the community. If this feature would help your workflow, add your vote and share which reports you'd like this filter to be included.

Hi Arthur, is there a particular report you'd find this selection most useful for? It's unlikely we'd add this as a common date range across all reports at once - it'd be good to better understand the reports this would be most helpful for you on. Thanks

Thanks for sharing your idea, Kirsten. It's good to get this understanding from customers on the different flows they would find most useful. This isn't something we have direct plans of right now, but will start to get a sense of interest in setting a default screen here. I'l be sure to let you know if there is any movement around your idea.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing and supporting this idea 🙂.

We understand you’d like to have Item Code available as a column in the Account Transactions report so it’s easier to review and track transactions against items, including untracked inventory items.

We’re moving this idea to Gaining support while we continue to learn more about the different ways this would help customers in their day-to-day workflows.

If this would be useful for you, please keep voting and add a comment with more detail about your use case. In particular, it’s helpful to understand what you’re trying to report on today and where the current report falls short.

We’ll keep an eye on the feedback here and share an update if anything changes.

Thanks for keeping the conversation going on this, everyone. It's clear that having the ability to create budgets for Balance Sheet accounts is a really popular idea, and we hear the manual workflows you're having to use when it comes to forecasting.

The go-to option for now (as shared by some in this idea) is to export your data into a spreadsheet to build out your budgeted Balance Sheet and cash flow forecasts.

I know it's not the outcome you're hoping for here, but we want to be upfront about where things stand. Right now, building this feature isn't in our plans. We have to make some tough calls on what to build next, and while this isn't on the current roadmap, the feedback you've all shared here is incredibly valuable for our future planning.

Please keep the ideas and feedback coming to show your support for this idea.

Thanks everyone for sharing your feedback and adding support to this idea.

We understand there are situations where being able to select a combination of bank accounts in the Uncoded Statement Lines report would be helpful, particularly for practices working across clients with multiple accounts. Having that added flexibility could make the report easier to tailor and share in the way that best suits each workflow.

We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue to track interest and better understand the impact for customers using this workflow. Please keep voting and sharing examples of how you use the report, as that context is really helpful for our product team when reviewing ideas.

Thanks for sharing this idea Megan. At the moment, while you can filter the Account Transactions report by contact, Xero doesn’t narrow that filter list down to only the contacts that appear in the selected account and date range. Instead, you need to search for and select the contact you want from the wider contact list.

We are moving your idea to Gaining Support. This helps us gauge community interest and better understand how many customers would benefit from Xero surfacing only the relevant contacts found in the report results.

For now, the best available option is to search for the specific contact you want to filter by.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on the feedback and update the idea if there’s any progress to share.

Thanks for bringing this idea to the community. We can understand why being able to add a contact to a group directly from an individual contact record could make managing contacts more efficient, particularly when you're already updating their details.

At the moment, contact groups can only be managed from the Contacts list. From there, you can select one or more contacts and use Add to group to assign them to an existing contact group in bulk.

We've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community's interest.

Thanks for raising this idea, Alan. We can understand how including column headings across every page of a printed or exported report could make longer reports much easier to read and review.

We've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community interest. If this would improve your reporting workflow, add your vote and share which reports you use most often where repeated headings would be most valuable.

You can re-order the columns of your report with the layout editor, Robbie. 🙂

Once you've got the report set up as you like you can Save as Custom to easily access the report with this layout.

If you're like to make this the default layout there is also an option for this - see our help here & here
