Thank you for your candid feedback and engagement on this idea. The good news is we're actively working on a complete rebuild of this report on our new reporting platform ✨. This project is a top priority and is specifically designed to solve the issues you've raised. The new report will automatically pull in filed return amounts, allow you to drill down into transactions, and always show a correct, cumulative unfiled balance. We're in the development phase, and we’re also actively gathering feedback on the ability to make manual adjustments in the new report, which we know is a critical requirement. We are committed to delivering a report that makes this essential part of your workflow easier and more reliable. We'll be back with another update as we make progress 😊

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on increasing the CSV import line limit for budgets. We understand that the current 500-line limit means splitting larger files into smaller uploads, which adds extra steps to the process.

Hi team, we appreciate interest in a specific annual CIS statement. While this isn't in our immediate plans right now you can run the CIS Contractor return for a custom date range.
If you then select individual subcontractors and download this will be the annual statement.
We'll continue to track interest from community in the idea here and if there's any news will share for you all.

Thanks for the added detail, everyone. It's good to be able to share this detail back with our teams.
Appreciate why Bank Rules won't help for cash accounts and where you don't have a bank feed coming into the account.
Being open, this isn't something we have plans for changing in the short-term. We'll leave the idea open for our product team to continue considering how we could improve efficiency in some of the situations you've described. If there are any updates we'll share this with you all here.

My firm is in the process of switching to Xero from QBO. I just tried working on our first conversion client and ran into the journal entry limitation problem. I can assure you, that if you don't unlock these features, or should I say design flaw, we won't be using Xero. If you need to, make a professional Xero version for CPAs, bookkeepers and other professionals and don't lock basic Accounting functions. As is this is not usable from a professional standpoint. This does not adhere to basic industry functions. Luckily we have a meeting with Xero today, and I will be mentioning this asinine design.
