Hi team, appreciate wanting an update - I'm pleased to share the beta went well and we've now launched international bill payments for our UK customers, making it easier to pay overseas suppliers.
Using open banking, UK businesses can now securely send money to 180+ countries including Europe (EUR), America (USD) and Australia (AUD). So you don't have to juggle multiple platforms or hidden fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once, you can authorise payments prepared by your team and easily track which suppliers have been paid.
We’re committed to new ways to expand our bill payments feature for small businesses and their advisors in other regions by leveraging new technologies, where available. I'll keep you updated of any further developments for this, here.

Hi everyone, we know this remains a highly important request, and we appreciate the volume of detail you’ve shared around billing, delivery and contact management workflows in this idea.
As shared in our last update - our team has been progressing the next phase of work needed to bring this more meaningfully into invoicing.
We know many of you are looking for clearer timing, and while I’m not able to confirm a release date at this stage, I do want to reassure you this remains an active area of work for our product teams.
We’ll continue to return here with further updates as we move through the next stages. Thanks again for your patience and for continuing to share the workflows that make this so important.

How is it possible that this idea has 226 votes, and it's not even being considered by Xero??? This is a seriously critical feature! We have hundreds of bills open at any given time, and we issue payment runs once a week, we've had to develop an elaborate contact naming and bill reference field system just to indicate how that supplier should be paid. It seems like such an oversight with all these integrating banking options and apps and ERP/CRM systems, that Xero can't simply surface a payment method field. Please please please develop this. All we need is a freefrom text field, really.

Hi Anikam, thanks for taking the time to suggest this.
Being able to pay bills directly through Wise from within Xero could help streamline international payment workflows and reduce the need to switch between platforms.
I've updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support. If this is a feature you'd like to see, please continue to vote and share how this capability would fit into your workflow. Your feedback helps us better understand the value this integration could provide.

Yes, fully support this idea! We are in Canada but have 7 Wise accounts in different currencies because our business is primarily international. We pay on average 60 bills a week through Wise. It would save us HOURS every week if we had this feature instead of logging into Wise, issuing the payment, coming back to Xero to record the payment and exchange rate, etc.

Please add this feature! Since Xero doesn't offer a visible payment method field, we store the contact's payment method right in their contact name. But this prevents us from using the upload feature, since that field requires an exact match. Most companies have some kind of ERP or other second software they're using besides Xero, and the expectation that the name needs to match EXACTLY in both softwares is totally unrealistic for a company our size with over 12,000 contacts. A simple switch to unique string contact ID makes so much more sense. That's how all other CRM/ERP softwares work these days.

Since you have launched this in the UK already, please make is available in Canada ASAP! This is an absolutely critical workflow for us, and Quickbooks could do it so I don't understand why Xero can't.
We process copyright royalties and receive payments from all over the globe. Our business occurs primarily in foreign currencies that are not CAD, but our base org currency has to be CAD because we have to report our corporate taxes that way to the Canadian Tax authority.
This means, the majority of our payments are tiny royalty payments in other currencies that accumulate, so we will send one payment in EUR to a client that could contain two, five, sometimes fifteen or more separate bills. Each royalty statement is reported on its own statement from our CRM, so the ONLY way we can help our clients match up which statements we paid on what payment, is to have the accounting software batch them. We lose critical client communication by Xero not allowing batch foreign payments. I need to be able to send them a remittance that shows all these bills amount to X payment which was sent on X date.
Can you please confirm this feature can be extended to Canadian orgs ASAP??
