  1. I hope Xero will soon introduce the feature for ABN exemption for non-employee contractors, as there are cases that they are ABN exempt. I'm sharing the ATO link with you for your reference, https://www.ato.gov.au/forms-and-instructions/statement-by-supplier-not-quoting-an-abn?

  2. A slight nuisance when creating bills, that seems to have started happening as part of the new invoicing 'updates' as I never had these two issues before.

    1) There is a certain bill transaction that I add monthly, usually 10-15 per month. The lines are always the same so for speed I always copy one bill to another and so on. Once I add the payment Xero sends me back to the home screen and a pop up appears in the bottom left hand corner to 'view bill'. I click on this to then copy the bill for the next…

  3. Small request: Include the cover & contents page by default, please.

    The following is info from a Support webpage... Publish a report from the Drafts tab. In the Accounting menu, select Reports. Select the Drafts tab. Click the menu icon kebab style menu icon to the right of the report you want to publish, then select Publish.

  4. Cash Summary Report to include Primary Person Please.

    Can you get a cash summary report to provide in order 3 items as per below
    Invoice No ... Contact ...Primary person
    I cant seem to find a report for all three .
    We send 170 invoices out client who pay sometimes do not include invoice number and we have to track by firm name or contact which can vary also on bank receipt information.

    e.g.

    I need "Primary person" to help "match" an unidentied payment. so searching for "primary person" identifies the invoice number or the right contact.

  5. It would be great to be able to copy lines when processing spend money and bill transactions. I need to split costs from a single bill or credit card transaction to locations. Being able to copy data entered to a new line and then change the value if needed and apply the location would save time and limit tedium. Thank you

  6. It would be great if the awaiting payment area would allow more invoices to be shown, currently it only allows up to 200. Or if it had the ability to save the invoices you've selected for payment and you could go to the next page without loosing the invoices you had already preselected.

    Hi Sarah, there is a limit of including 50 invoices in a single batch deposit atm. Is there any commonality between invoices that you pay that could possibly be searched and bring them into the one page?

Currently when selecting invoices to include in a batch deposit you can only select what's on the current screen, when you click to the next screen you lose the selections you made on the previous screen. I have thousands of invoices awaiting payment, even with the max display amount of 200, it's 30+ screens to scroll through. I have to create multiple batch deposits in order to capture everything that's being taken to the bank that day. Please add a search field that will save and allow multiple invoices to be included in batch deposits.

  8. When creating an invoice from a project-keep items in the same order as they appear in the project. It is very confusing when all the items are in different places than they were in the project and I have to reorder everything.

  9. Currently a client can upload a number of invoices and then create a batch payment for these invoices. When they make a payment for 1 of the invoices in the batch, you have to remove and redo the payment then match the separate invoice up, and then recreate the batch payment, excluding the amount which has now been paid. Would be easier if like with invoices, the batch payment could be split, saving the new to remove and then recreate the batch payment.

    Hi everyone, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding the ability to split batch payments when reconciling, and understand it currently takes extra steps to reconcile when a single invoice among a batch has been paid, or when there are multiple payments to the same entity for different invoices.
    Being transparent, we don’t have direct plans for making this change within the foreseeable future but if anything changes in this space, we’ll update you on this idea!

  12. Currently in XERO if you use more than one Ordinary Time Earnings Pay Item per employee the Annual Salary Calculation on the Payslip is incorrect. Using more than one is useful as there are some employees I like to apportion to 2 x areas. Example: It might be 1 day a week on Admin 4 days on Production. Whilst we can do this currently in XERO, as noted above the Annual Salary is incorrect. So - either - separate the Salary field from the Pay Item or change (fix) the way XERO calculates the Annual Salary. Note I am aware…

  13. Copying part of a sent invoice perhaps just invoice number and amount to my e-mail would avoid a problem I had.
    My e-mails were hacked and a monthly rent invoice I had sent was copied the next month with amended bank details.
    I no longer send copies to my e-mail although now I have to concentrate more so I know which ones I have sent.
    This type of fraud has happened to someone else I know - we are more careful with our e-mail security now.

    I'm sorry to hear that your email was hacked, Joanne. As you may have seen in other ideas on the site we are working to develop the History & Notes so you'll soon be able to see detail of the email an invoice has been sent too. Doesn't ideally solve for what you're asking here, so we'll continue to track this separately and update if there's any news of having more control of what you can send with the send to self option.

  14. When Reconciling a large bank feed It would be good if the page went back to the top so that we did not have to scroll up every time.
    At the moment when you get to the bottom and page forward it stays at the bottom of that screen

    Not a direct solution to what you're asking here, Tony. However you may find it a useful shortcut to press the 'Home' button on your keyboard which should bump you from the bottom to the top of any screen 😊

  15. I would like to submit a feature request for the Statement of Account (SOA) report. Currently, the SOA allows for downloading the entire account summary for a contact, but it lacks the ability to filter and download specific invoices based on types or any other granular filtering or customization.

    For example, in my organization, clients sometimes use multiple revenue streams. Invoices are categorized by these revenue streams. There are instances where my clients only need the SOA for one particular revenue stream.

  16. I would like to be able to use JAX prompts to search bills to pay or to ask general questions about previously paid bills.

    For example:

    • Show me all the bills paid to supplier X before/after invoice date [insert date]
    • Show me all the bills for this amount [insert amount]
    • Find all the bills that were created with Tax Inclusive (or Tax Exclusive or No Tax).
    • Start a new bill for supplier [insert supplier name] with the following item codes [insert list of item codes]

    Currently, JAX doesn't seem to have any knowledge about bills.

  17. What Xero management fail to appreciate that having this feature they will obtain a substantial number of customers who need this feature and many more that are using QuickBooks. If anyone know of an alternative please share on this channel. I'm exploring Thriday to make this feature available soon.

  18. We signed up several years ago, and were really happy with the software as it was. Now we keep update after update, and price rise after price rise. Our cost has now doubled in 5 years. I know there's fancy "features" added to it now, but I don't need them. All I want is the version from a couple of years ago. Accounting, payroll for 5, Classic invoicing, old style reports, old style bills page, old style contacts, no cashflow analytics.

    Why not just make the older version available as a basic package for say £25 a month. No fancy…

  19. Repeating Invoice - Bulk update next invoice date

    I am an accountant with clients who make use of repeating invoices. The current problem is that in certain months they want to run their invoices on different dates due to public holidays or festive season. In these situations they have to manually go and update the "next invoice date" in each invoice.

    I want to suggest a bulk action for this as it would end up saving hours for the businesses.
