  1. When looking up product history Xero lists what invoices product was sold on. It would also be nice to be able to see the customer's name. This would make things much easier when trying to look up pricing assigned to specific customers.

  2. Please implement functionality to record and manage payments on account (advance payments or deposits) without immediately creating an invoice or recognizing revenue.
    This is essential for businesses that routinely accept deposits (e.g., wedding services, contractors, event planners).
    It aligns with standard accounting practices and revenue recognition principles, which is crucial for accurate financial reporting.
    Currently, Xero expects me to record income (as an invoice) up to 18 months in advance! That's not acceptable from an accounting or business management perspective.

  5. Please explore the possibility of generating a report that efficiently and clearly captures Recurring Payments made to any contact or supplier with either monthly or yearly frequency?

    Currently, this is not achievable without significant manual effort to extract data from various reports in Xero. While I’m aware that the "Repeating Bill Payment" feature setup can also aid with producing a report of this nature, most clients do not use this setup, and the information isn't sufficient.

  7. It would be helpful to be able to add shortcut icons on the dashboard for all of the things you use every day instead of having to go through the dropdown menus. (similar to the way the old quickbooks used).

    For example, have a way to put an "invoice" icon on the dashboard. Or add "spend money" on the dashboard. Basically have a way to add whatever shortcut icons you want as every business is different.

    Hi community - There are a few shortcuts that can help you get around and create transactions from many screens in Xero.

    The '+' icon next to Search in the blue banner enables you to create a range of different document types, similarly there are shortcuts that can be entered in Search from the blue navigation bar that will take you to different features for example entering 'r' you can quickly select and be taken to 'All reports'

    Are there other specific shortcuts you'd want to see here?

Need to be able to accumulate annual leave and sick leave when an employee has to rates of pay for example: working in two departments - one pay 24.50hr and the other department pays $24.17hr, currently Xero does not accumulate pay on multiple ordinary hours pay rates, one has to be and overtime rate using multiple of hours how can you do this for a rate with a difference of 33c.   10. Activity Statement report - currently the activity statements need to be finalised in order and if not then the unfiled amounts option is turned off for good, with no way to change this. The current workaround is to delete all previous statements and then finalise them in order. This means we lose history, and particularly when the client is managing the BAS returns, we need that history to stay. Also there is no way to tell how far back into history the error is occuring.   12. On balance sheets or profit and loss reports. It would be amazing if there was a distinction between accounts that have nothing in them (e.g. -) and accounts that have a nil balance (e.g. 0). They currently have the same icon (-). Having different icons would make it easier to distinguish without having to click into the account.

  14. Automatically provide the audit certificate for e-signatures applied in Document Packs. At the moment, you need to contact Xero Support to obtain the audit certificates, which often takes days, when you generally need these things urgently

  15. An option to set the date range to "last week" from the date range pull down options in account transactions reports.

    Being able to create custom account transactions reports set to "last week" would be invaluable for our weekly reporting, avoiding fiddly changes to the date range each week when pulling a number of reports, and preventing any dating errors.

    It would be a great advantage.

    Should be an easy to add that option to Xero, I would have thought.

    And it is a common option (e.g. GoCardless has it.)

  16. In Xero I’m able to use my purchase order templates that I created with docx.

    I was hoping to keep things consistent when generating POs from XIP. I don’t see that I can alter the templates.

  17. As a Finance Manager of multiple entities and xero files it would be good to have something like Xero HQ for practice for Finance managers and the multiple entities that look after so I can see each day the business snapshot of where we are at AP, AR Cashflow and NP

  18. When I add text to any of the boxes within a column in a purchase order, it moves the screen down because the box needs to expand to fit the text. This makes it really hard to copy-paste quickly. Please either remove the bug that makes the screen move down (boxes expanding) or add a "copy previous line" feature to eliminate this onerous task completely.

  19. Ability to insert forecasted figures into Xero and run a forecast report alongside the budget report. We get to half year and assess how on track we are with budget and more often than not it makes sense to adjust the forecast numbers for the remainder of the period but not lose sight of what the budget was in the first place.
    If we're able to run a report with actuals for YTD and forecast for the remainder of the period it would be hugely helpful

  20. Have the option to accrue leave on other pay items. ie. Saturday rate has to be set up with its own rate per employee as each employee is on their own rate for Saturday and isn't a "mutplication of the ordinary rate". This also needs leave to accrue on it.
    Spoken to Xero adviser and they don't have a set up for this yet.
