  1. The problem is if you set a deduction item in payroll on Xero it doesn't give option to pick P&L nominal account, where reimbursements to employees should be coded. The only work around are journals, which is ineffective when you have clients posting payroll themselves and they need management reports each month, so you have to reanalyze and repost their payroll.

  2. It would also be helpful if there was something that would show whether an individual transaction has already been included in a VAT return submitted and show which VAT return it was included in. For example in the account transaction report there could be a column that shows which VAT return the transaction was included in. In the individual transaction there could be a note below showing which VAT return it was included in.

  4. Since October 2023 automatic bank feeds with Maybank are not working anymore. Before that, they worked perfectly fine, but since then they are not working, and have not been restored from Xero ever since. As per Support there is a technical problem, and they are working on fixing it for over a year now. So this is not even a new idea, but only the request to restore an important feature that already existed before. Please work harder on fixing this issue!

  5. Option already exists to have multiple bank accounts, however If bonus etc is process separately this option doesnt work as its a different pay run, it would be good to have a fixed amount option that lasts for the month and then re-sets, regardless of how many times employee is paid, after fixed amount is paid, balance goes into different account for that month and then re-sets

  6. When resizing my browser window, many of the Xero screens (including Bills, Timesheets, Invoices) do not resize. Instead they chop off on the right hand side. There is not even the option of a slider to get over to the right.

    I have tested this across two browsers IE and Chrome. Frequently I am working on a laptop with a small screen and this is really annoying. I would rather they scale up or down when I make my browser larger or smaller.

  7. The idea is to develop a function for our clients to retrieve instant feedback from prospective customers on the rejection of a quotation they have received.

    This can be in the form of an automated dialogue box where the prospective customer can give reasons/comments as to why they have rejected the quote i.e too expensive, found a better deal, specifications - lack of or incorrect etc.

    This will save the customer time to know instantly what the problem is so when do give the prospective customer a call, they have a prepared response and enquire further as to how they…

  8. During reconciling, when adding details - Description section coming from bank feed could be auto-highlighted saving time, allowing it to be changed more easily, rather than having to mouse across to select or (triple tap trackpad). This way if it didn't require a change of description, we can tab across. But having it automatically selected when tabbing through fields would be amazing if possible. eg. of highlighted area attached.

  10. Once a report is published, there's no way to edit the name. I like to add a reference in the publish-name of a report so that I can easily find the specific one that I'm looking for in the list of published reports - especially useful when you're publishing multiple bank account reconciliation reports. Sometimes I forget, and the only way to change the name of a published report is to delete the report and re-create it.

  12. In invoice reminders you do not have the option to add the original invoice as a PDF. My customers accounting teams do NOT follow links in emails (against security policy), but can read an attachment (as long as it is PDF). I would like this added as an option on invoice reminders.

  13. Is there any plan to add an option for collecting payments through Stripe directly within Xero? Often, when I call customers for payment, I am in Xero looking at the invoice, and the customer wants to provide a credit card for payment. Currently, I have to log in to Stripe to process the payment. It would be much easier and more efficient if I could charge the client directly from the invoice itself, don’t you think?

  14. Update the search box to allow for search phrases to rank within the search box...not just exact matches. it's not particularly beneficial for a search query to result ONLY the exact match if you're searching for a match and probably don't know the exact phrase for a contact/business/customer.

    For example,

    "Jack Jones" produces no results when the contact is actually "John Jones".

    Searching "Jack Jones" should produce a result with all contacts that include either "jack" or "jones". Producing no results is not an accurate representation of the total database.

  15. When you view a payrun, the breakdown at the top shows: Earnings, Taxes, Superannuation, Net Pay, Status & Payment Date.
    When you view the details for any of the employees there is an additional field for Reimbursements at the top of the screen.
    It would be great if the reimbursements total was also shown on the pay runs summary screen to quickly review and identify the total.
    Especially when the clients run their own payroll and we are just reconciling.

  18. Allow autopay to be applied to a group of recurring invoices, rather than having to enable it on individual invoices. This would be useful for turning Autopay on for a number of invoices for the same customer or turning it on for a number of invoices for different customers.

  19. I propose an update to the formatting of the cheque stubs so that summarize the list of bills that are being paid by cheque on the stub, not the individual line items.

    I have a client that owns 12 franchise restaurants. Some of the bills that are received have to be split 12 ways. if multiple bills are received, we're looking at that many more lines on the stub. Can we please update the format of the stub to summarize the bills that are being paid to avoid confusion for vendors?

    The attached stub is a payment for 3 bills.

  20. When copying an existing invoice to a new invoice, the reference should not be copied over as well or the user to be given the option to not copy the reference number to the new invoice.

    There are many times, reference number is not updated or removed and then needs to be fixed at a later point.
