Email Settings - Ability to have separate reply-to email address
Ability to have separate ‘Reply-to’ email addresses within the same Xero organisation.
Purpose: Users can easily change the email address that they’d like to use when sending email from Xero, rather than having to go through settings to change it.
340 votesHi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate your input and letting us know your appetite for being able to set the Reply to address for your Xero organisation, here in the idea. As many will have seen with new invoicing, our team have begun testing and making small change to the send experience. While we've been able to make these changes when developing other areas of Xero, we want to be upfront that we don't have a timeframe of when we'll upgrade the email settings page just yet, but this is something we will get to in time - when we do our team will also review the Reply to address options as part of this. So, though there is no movement to share on this just yet please know we will let you know here as soon as there is.

Files - Automatically include specific file attachments when sending from Xero
Ability to automatically attach a file to all invoices when users send an email out from Xero.
Purpose: To save time from having to manually attach the files.

Ability to return to the previous screen after the user edited a transaction.
Purpose: To make users easily continue working on the previous page rather than having to navigate from the different page again.

Ability to accept emails that have no attachments in Xero Files.
Purpose: Users can upload their email invoices/quotes easily into Xero.

Files - Ability to send documents to cloud storage from Xero Files
Ability to push files that’s uploaded in Xero Files to cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, and Sharepoint).
Purpose: Users can easily store/keep their files that they’ve uploaded in Xero into their own cloud storage. Especially when they have many documents that exceed the limit of Xero Files.

Purpose: Users within the Xero org can leave the notes and easily remind one another.

Purpose: To give a professional image to users’ customers/clients, and save time in a current manual process
342 votesHi all, appreciate and understand the support in being able to automate processes such as communication of payment received with a customer.
Though seemingly simple there are a few complexities that'd need to be accommodated for when considering the solution here - such as behaviour for re-reconciliations (Remove & redo has been used), split transactions or Mark as reconciled is used.
Our product teams in this area are working on building on beautiful experiences throughout Bank Reconciliation, which you'd have have experienced this first with the Reconcile tab and they are now moving through other pages and features in Bank Rec - This'll take some time and with that at the fore-front right now we want to be upfront that we don't have immediate plans to add an automated email when a transaction line is reconciled.
As we embark work on the Account Transactions tab we'll be able to revisit…

User Role - Allow users access to specific reports
Ability to only allow some users to access specific reports.
Purpose: Because in some organisation, only some people can only see the information for some reports.

As you can appreciate, user roles span across the entire Xero product so there’s many combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. Specifically, our reporting product team is very much aware of the challenges with the current permission sets relating to sharing individual reports with different users and are beginning to look into how we might be able to alleviate some of these reporting challenges.
However, at this stage it’s far too early to anticipate or confirm any direction on where this discovery work will lead, but it will inform our next steps. Additionally, as I'm sure you can appreciate there are sensitivities of data access and security. Creating upgrades to user permissions will need very careful consideration. Manual Journals - Editing journal with auto-reversal to update related journal/s
To have an option to automatically update the reversing journal.
Purpose: To save time and help avoid errors in updating both entries.

While the team began to look into work involved, priorities have shifted and this is not something we'll be looking to develop at this time.

Organisation setting - Ability to hide/delete the demo company
Option to hide or delete the demo company in Xero.
Purpose: Often a demo company creates confusion for users, so it’s better if they can hide/delete it.
277 votesHi everyone, the demo company provides the ability to test and trial Xero features without impacting data in your live organisation. It's especially useful when you're getting started with the product or want to see how a feature works that you haven't used before.
That said, we understand not all our customers want or need access to the demo company. We appreciate your feedback on being able to hide or remove this here, and our product team are aware of the interest and feedback surrounding this - Both from this direct thread and the previous commentary and votes from the older forum where this originated.
While we don't have immediate plans, this is an area our team are looking to review. We will update you if there is any planned changes to this, through this idea.
