  1. It would be nicer if the Tabs were Named "My Business" "Advisor" "Standard" "Draft" "Published" and "Archived" in that order so the default Tab would be custom reports for this business. Many users never look past the "Home" tab, and never see the custom Reports.

  2. We have just changed a lot of our clients over from MYOB where we could get supplier account numbers, IRD numbers etc in the bank feed details, and could then set bank rules for them based on the supplier account number or IRD no & tax type etc.

    With many transactions Xero gives us a lot less information. Often the supplier account number is missing, or IRD tax type & IRD number are missing - along with many other details. This makes using bank rules impossible for many transactions, and takes a lot longer to reconcile manually as we have…

  4. What I want to show in the batch payment summary is the transaction date.
    For example, I used my personal money to buy sth on 1st June & 10th June. Then I submit "expense claims" on these two days. And when accountant batch the payment for my claims, I want to show the transaction date (1st June & 10th June) on the batch PDF, just as shown in my attached image.

  5. In the old version of the report you could over type a selected account with another to quickly see the new account.
    In the new version you 1/ can't see the accounts you choose easily, 2/can't deselect (you must first "Select All" then "Deselect All".
    If I have missed something please let me know.
    This is making spot checking of account transactions much slower, and time equals money.

  6. When you 'Invite Staff', the ability to copy an existing staff members 'privileges' will speed up the user creation process significantly.

  10. Default invoice due date / contact due date can be set when integrated with other products that fed the invoices in. Currently it is overriden with due date from integrated system

    Setting due date so we can clearly see what is overdue is an excellent feature and would help significantly with accounts

  11. It would be really useful that when you are selecting to add a new Group under Row's that it adds the new group option in the location you are currently at, rather than adding it in at the top of the report and having to move it down to where you want it to go.

    Also having the ability with the when adding a new formula to be able to select how you want the formula result to appear (ie %, $, rounded $ to the nearest $ etc).

  12. It would be great if the mobile app allowed me to take a new photo of a receipt into folders faster - maybe you could improve the "Work offline" functionality so that it does more in the background.

    I need to use this method, instead of emailing receipts, because we have various folders (1 for each debit & credit card) where we put the specific receipt photograph into

  13. I need to run a report in Xero that sees the variance in purchaser cost price on a month by month basis for a product group not based on sales/bills

  14. Locking Invoices and Bills so they cannot be deleted once Finalised.

    We often see clients raise invoices, or bills in their Xero file, and then later delete them if a change is required, and then raise another invoice or bill.
    From an accounting perspective, this is a huge sin.
    Once an invoice or bill has been finalised, the only way it should be altered is by raising either a debit or credit note against it. Xero allows a user to raise debit or credit notes, but the average non-accountant does not understand what these are, so they do the easiest…

  15. FILTERS have to be reset each time you return to a page. This is common throughout Xero and is a real nuisance, but especially if you are editing sales invoices. E.g. filtering on a group of customers and a date range has to be done to edit each invoice individually. Resetting the filter for each invoice you edit is a real pain.

  16. Please restore the display of the closing balance on the first page of this report.
    The report is used each month to check control accounts which may go to many pages.
    The closing balance used to show on the first page which was extremely helpful not you have to scroll to the bottom (and you have removed the option for less transactions to show) and then we have to scroll through to the last page in order to see the balance.
    Please bring back the functionality of the old report before you stop access to it

  17. The new Bills To Pay screens seem to be causing a lot of discussion. For those users who extensively leverage the Expenses module, there are a number of improvements that could be made:

    • Please Add “Spent At” in the columns so that Expenses make sense viewed in this context, otherwise every line says “Expense Claims” and the entire column is superfluous when dealing with Expenses (reduces redundant data display)

    • Please add a link from the Bill listing directly to the Expense Detail if it was generated by Expenses (reduces click-through and page calls, improves efficiency)

  20. Can you get the new TB to download with the account code and description in the same column as was possible in the old TB. (see attached)
