This is absolutely ridiculous. There are many other much cheaper software's that offer this basic functionality which I will now be cancelling my clients Xero subscription's that require it and move over to alternatives. After month's/year's of stringing these clients along in the hopes that Xero will be proggessive and is always updating and making changes, this news is very disappointing for the Xero partners who try to "sell" the software to their clients.
This basic functionality should not be costing more in Xero or other app fees.

This is very disappointing, we only require a very basic tiered price list and have looked at many of the inventory apps, which all have much more extensive inventory management than we need, and the cost matches the ability.

Hugely disappointing and very short sighted of Xero not to accommodate this after promising it for so long :(

And out of interest Xero - WHAT apps offer this and what is the additional COST to add that ONE piece of functionality to your app? Something a small business can afford? Please let us all know as I am sure we are all ears to hear what your suggested answer to this is?

I was ready to move across to Xero then I discovered this missing (BASIC) functionality which is crucial to so many businesses in this day and age - and I agree with Jessica Centrone - I would not consider this to be 'extensive' at all and struggle to understand your decision. I think it is a pretty basic ask really..

I guess Xero does not want to increase it's customer base.. shame as I was bring others with me on this changeover - not anymore sadly and it has really put a dent in my plans - back to the drawing board now..

Interesting. I would not consider tiered pricing to be extensive, it seems a basic feature on programs such as MYOB etc...
It is disappointing to have to pay additional ongoing costs to an app which offers far more than the basic tiered pricing feature required.

This was touted as 'coming' over 14 months ago and it is still not available. This capability is crucial in todays business world..

I have posted comments about this for 3-4 times alo-ng with the long list of users who also want the same functionality for their business.
Yet, Xero exceutive will not comment, do they listen?
We need this feature and it MUST be included.

Adding my comment here so Xero is aware another customer is looking at this feature as critical to the business sales process. I agree with all other comments below regarding errors that arise when the sales team have to overwrite default prices with customer-specific rates.

We can't use the sales default discount % for the contact as the products / services aren't priced to a set % below list price - prices are negotiated for each customer based on expected demand for product / service mix relative to capacity / availability.

Xero Team, we need to automate this process. We shouldn't have to manage multiple product codes for one item or manually enter values each time an invoice is created.

I have very little time for MYOB as a product, so it is frustrating that they have been able to build this functionality but Xero hasn't.

Only proves that anyone using system for Sales, requires a tiered pricing facility.

We have barcoded products so cannot create new products, and sell directly to wholesalers at varied prices, this should be pretty simple. Even allowing a negative discount would work for me.

I am looking for an alert option that is specific to each contact. It could be used for individual price increase, charge request for pallets, etc. To gain attention it would be great if you can add this in bold, underline or flashing text to assure your attention has been drawn to this alert.

Facility Is blatantly obvious in Sales.

Sage has this ability but lacks others. We are on Sage at present but would swap to Xero if you had this capability

This is a must to enable flexibility in selling competitively to customers, without having to remember to adjust prices for different customers.

This would save a lot of time, currently creating new items for various customers
