Commented on this previously, can't believe it's even an issue!!!

I cant believe Xero is in the dark ages with this! This is vital!

Setting this up to allow for different behaviours for each contact group would be very useful:
- Invoice Child account for child account activity / Child account pays / summary reports at parent account level
- invoice child account for child account activity / parent account pays (parent account may pay for multiple invoices for multiple different child accounts in one lump sum)
- invoice parent account for child account activity / parent account paysThere are possibly other permutations that other Xero customers may want/need.

I hope this is something Xero can implement asap, extremely important for our business.

This function is critical to being able to scale a sales business.
All groups or wholesale customers will need this to be available to any supplier.
As a supplier any current work around would mean manual entries which is bad practise and lead to errors.
Competitors to Xero can accomodate this feature. -

This would be very important for our business.
We have trade customers who pay on terms and want statements and DTC customers who pay via EFTPOS/credit cards.
However, with delays in the gateway providing the reconciliation reports - we can have 5days of DTC sales sitting in AR which we don't want to send statements to. Manual unticking them is time consuming and error prone! -

This is critical to our operations. Don't see much point in forming groups if we are unable to utilize them to send statements to specific groups. This really needs to be sorted out, it is such an unnecessary waste of time. We would really appreciate Xero's input here and for this to be treated as urgent. Many thanks.

We deal with many businesses where goods are dispatched and then their head office are making payments
It would make it a lot easier for us and our clients if this feature was added to Invoicing

Would have thought this feature would have been an easy one implement.
It's a real company time waster, we have four departments, invoicing to different customers, and we are having to click manually to send out statements, so we don't send the wrong ones out. We have customers set up in groups, so why can't we send statements out in groups with one click. It's a pity to see previous comments asking for this 10 years ago, think how many hours have gone into wasted admin labor! -

This would save me a tonne of time each month - the current filter parameters for sending statements don't help me with sending group statements at all, so its manual ticking each time.
(Would also love the ability to auto send statements to specific groups.)

Another vote, in fact urgent request, for this feature! Exactly as below, I had assumed that this would be possible and have spent significant time setting up groups so that wording in the email body sending statements did not have to be individually customised.

Please Xero - No one has time to send statements one by one. I even spent time grouping my customers hoping it would speed up the statement process. I am sure you have enough requests to start with this change request. I will even help you test it.

OK guys so Xero removed the 2 clicks instant statement for groups for some reason completely beyond my comprehension but you can actually still create a group statement. Here is how:
Click Accounting Tab
Click Reports
Click Receivable Invoice Summary
Select month or months for statement.
Click on Filter
Click Contact Group
Enter the group name (Xero won't remember it so spell correctly)
Click Apply
Click UpdateAnd there is all is.
Edit what columns you need and update.
Download to excel.
There is often no total showing on the spreadsheet but it shows on the pdf, so you need to enter that into excel.
You can make your own edits from there. You could have posted this yourself Xero wtf!
I mean 2 clicks in exchange for all this work! -

Accounting is not just about issuing accounts receivable, collecting outstanding money, and paying the correct amount of tax.
It is about MANAGING and GROWING your business and SURVIVING hard times.
Understanding what works as soon as possible is what separates winners from losers. Xero, get your act together please. -

I have just gone through and put all our hundreds of clients into groups thinking this would make sending statements easier and now find it can't be done. How stupid. It takes me days to go through and do this manually.
Previously I have "tricked" the system entering our client group and number into the Account # section. Now I will have to go back to this method!!! Crazy.
Being just a "lay person" not in any way an accountant, you'd think there would be a simpler system.

Such an important thing! Grouping clients by the product.
Please Xero implement it as it would save time for us.
Thank you!

Wouldn't it be an easy fix to add a filter option in the "Sales Overview > Statements" page, where you can filter by name, email, etc, to add a filter by group name? This would be a GREAT feature.
