Sales Invoices - Pop-up reminder of notes
Ability to have a pop up reminder feature from the notes when creating a new invoice.
Purpose: This will make users’ easily identify if there’s any special note from their contacts in Xero, when they’re creating invoices for them.

 commentedan alert /notification to show when "notes" have been added to invoices "awaiting approval" or "approved" so the person approving a draft invoice or person "pdf and emailing" approved invoices to clients knows when a note has been added re this invoice.

 commentedHi Kelly, Just like the "Contact Account Number" field that displays when raising an invoice or bill in Xero, I would love to see an additional custom field that can be populated via the contact profile and appears on-screen whenever an invoice or bill is raised for that contact. This would be for internal use only, not shown to customers. The purpose is to capture specific instructions or important notes related to the contact that staff need to be reminded of during invoice or bill entry. Examples on how the field can be used: 
 Deduct $ from next invoice.
 Do not charge freight.
 Customer receives 20% off parts.
 Always add PO number to the invoice.
 Speak with the Manager before processing anything.Having a consistent internal note visible at the point of entry would help reduce errors and improve communication within the team. Please see the attached screenshots to assist with my case! Thank you for considering, Joana

 commentedIt would be useful to be able to attach a message pop-up option to a customer or vendor when invoicing or entering a bill. For example, a customer requires a purchase order on an invoice, and some administrative actions are being taken to advise the user regarding the contact or vendor's current standing or requirements without first looking at notes. This would only pop-up if there was a message.

 commentedIt would be highly beneficial if Xero could introduce a feature allowing pop-up messages for specific contacts. Many businesses have clients or suppliers with unique requirements that need to be addressed when creating invoices, bills, or any other financial transactions. Having a customizable pop-up notification appear whenever a particular contact is selected would ensure these details are not overlooked. This feature would help users streamline the invoicing and billing process, prevent errors, and improve overall efficiency by automatically reminding staff of any special conditions or instructions associated with a contact at the moment of transaction.

 commentedWould like to see this soon. We need an easy way to quickly look through the contact record to determine if this client has to prepay. We have traditionally allowed our customers to pay net14 but some don't deserve that privilege and now have to prepay. There is no way to remember who those prepay customers are, so we would like to have a pop-up that either: 1. Display the special notes, where we could put ** Prepay ** as the top note, where it would be easily/quickly visible. (Probably the best option since it can help multiple software users with their specific need) OR... 2. Another option, have a special pop-up when the customer Financial Details > Sales Default > Invoice Due Date says "0" Day(s) after the invoice date. OR... 3. Alternatively, when the contact record is open, there could be a note on the upper right side of the page, in red of course, that says "Prepay". (or another custom field/verbiage that displays our needed note). There should be an easily visible way to see that the customer has to prepay their invoice, instead of having to click through their account to find the info. Similar solutions are available in other accounting software packages.

 commentedPop up notes / flag notes should be available for not only incoices for certail contacts but also bills to certain suppliers! A button/toggle you can drag across in the notes section to make sure the next time that invoice or bill is opened the notes pop up so they are definately being read!

 commentedNotes are often forgotten, which makes them almost useless. If we have the option to make the notes pop up when you are building a quote, bill, or invoice to remind us of the note, that would make them a lot more useful.

 commentedWould be good to be able to set a date for reminders for contacts. We renew some sales contracts every three years so a reminder at say the 2 years and 10 months mark would prompt us to start contract renegotiations. No point putting in an endlessly repeating invoice if the terms are going to change after 3 years & the repeating invoice pops up too late on the send date rather than earlier when the terms should be renegotiated in a timely manner.

 commentedWhen you hover over the contact in a new Invoice (after you've chosen it), Xero needs to show the first line of Notes (under the phone number), so we know we need to look at Notes while we're data entering on that specific contact. That would be another great help. At the moment, I have to open the contact in full, to see if they even have notes and it's time consuming, as not all customers have notes.

 commentedWorking with an Admin team where each has access to create invoices for customers & Walk-ins, It's extremely important to have those customers special needs looked after even when the staff member who is the S.M.E is unavailable or away. Having this pop-up when creating invoices is essential for small business admin teams

I have mentioned in another post about how the new note feature is really basic and lacking usability...You can make a note on the contact that's great but what can you do with this???Nothing. We need to choice to be able to make a note pop-up when invoicing the contact, when viewing invoices, when uploading bills, when paying bills. I know others have also requested notes to be able to be seen in reports as well. Having one note section which can have up to 4000 characters is a pretty slack job at resolving this issue. The notes aren't even time stamped...

 commentedThis is a must. Under each Contract, we could set up the internal note and be able to select if this is to show on Invoice/Quote/PO/Bill Page, and also be able to select if this is a one-off note or a recurrent note. This note needs to be able to be reported. Thanks
