Email Settings - Specify date/time to send transactions
Ability to specify date/time when users’ want to send emails from Xero.
Purpose: So clients/customers can receive the email during the working hours and not at random time.

Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is looking into this idea however, they don't have any dates planned on when they’ll develop the ability to schedule emails.
Totally understand how this feature could benefit your workflow though, being able to schedule an email to send during acceptable hours, so you don’t have to remember!
Rest assured that our eyes are on the ground monitoring your feedback and votes here, so please keep adding them in this thread. For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And if there's any movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.

My first time using Xero and this was the first thing I looked for! I want to schedule my invoices, then have the system remind me they are good to go (make any last minute edits like adding expenses), then approve and send. Surely this is something that can be done and should be done soon? Any response since last year Xero?

Being able to schedule an invoice to send after you have completed it would be a great added administrative benefit. It would allow you to prep your invoices ahead of time knowing they will be sent on the date you provided

Message for Xero Team:
Given the number of people that have voted for this, is it possible to put this higher up on your development list? It seems like a pretty standard feature that should already exist!

would be the most helpful tool they could add to date of me using Xero for 10+ years

+1 this is an incredibly important feature for those invoicing customers in multiple time zones. This feature would help us send invoices at a time that is most convenient to them (without working irregular hours ourselves). Not having this is a major pain point that other platforms address.

This would be a great feature! I work most days and then do accounting afterwards so timed emails would be very helpful!
It seems like a very simple/ basic feature that should already be apart of the software

I would use this feature a lot.

This is a critical feature. Many small business owners are working later in the day or on weekends and the clients/customers do not appreciate email being sent over the weekend. Many recipients have apps on their phone, receive notifications, and feel compelled to reply. Please add this schedule send feature.

It would be helpful to have the ability to auto send invoices at a specific date and time.

I use the Outlook scheduling capability every week as it helps to spread my workload. I cannot claim it to be critical to the way I work, but I would value it higher than important for Xero to develop the scheduling capability.

I would use this feature regularly - my use case is:
As a part time accounts person
I would like to setup future dated invoices to be automatically sent on the invoice date
So that if the invoice date doesn't coincide with one of my working days, it will be sent out on time -

Agreed, this is an extremely simple functionality that is included out-of-the-box on every other software I've used. I want to send invoices at the same time on the same day each month. Randomly sending looks unprofessional and desperate. I've been using Xero for two months now and this is kind of a deal breaker.
Update: How has it been a year since this was responded to by Xero? This should have been an out-of-the-box feature, not something we have to ask for. To note, I have to get up at 8am tomorrow to click send on invoices when it should be an incredible simple thing to schedule. As I said above, this tells me a lot about Xero's priorities and where customer needs fit into it.

This is indeed pretty basic functionality that is lacking in Xero - I had it in PayPal before switching. It has been requested for a long time!!!
My use-case is that it is highly convenient to do my invoices at the time of doing my work; however, it is politically awkward to send them at that time! Being able to delay them several days (variable depending on the work) is very advantageous.
At present I save them as drafts, but have to remember to come back to them and actually email them at a non-weird time. While an okayish workaround, this adds unnecessary difficulties.

I would also like to be able to do this.
Not all invoices can be repeated to the same value or a the same day of the monthbut it would be so useful to be able to line up an entire invoice run and schedule it for a future date. -

This would be so amazing!
Our clients pay off our services so this would help schedule this so much!

This would increase the invoice settling rate, significantly, without having to chase people as much.

We are going to incorporate in the new year and when we do we have to set up a new account and it wont be xero unless they get scheduled invoicing, stages payment invoice and phone support sorted before then.
We are going to go back to Quick Books which has all of this and for half the price.
Xero was touted as the way to go and against our better judgement we signed up.
Big mistake, do yourself a favour and check out Quick books because Xero just pay lip service to these items which should be no brainers.

The ability schedule payslips to be emailed at later date - for example I'm on holidays over the Christmas break so I have had to do all the payroll before I finished.
It would be good to set a date to email the payslips.
I was able to schedule the bank and EFT payments but there's no way to schedule when payslip or Remittance Advice is emailed out
