Dashboard - Show Bills and Invoices that are in 'Awaiting Approval'

Ability to show bills and invoices that are in ‘awaiting approval’ status.

Purpose: Saving users’ time from having to click on ‘invoices owed to you’.

Hi everyone, we appreciate all the votes and comments on this idea. We’ve heard your feedback and recognise how helpful it would be to see invoices and bills awaiting approval directly from the dashboard.

The good news is that a solution is currently in development. As you might’ve heard, we’re currently working on a new navigation and homepage experience, which is currently in Beta.

As part of this update, you'll be able to view the # of awaiting approval invoices or bills from the Bills to pay or Invoice owed to you widgets, and can go straight to the relevant screen from the new Task widget helping you stay on top of approvals without needing to jump between pages - You'll just need the right user permissions to see this.

If you’d like a preview, you can check out the design on our Prototype page. We’re still building this out and we'll share as this rolls out to you all, here.

    We have missed payments because we have overlooked the the invoices which are awaiting payment. Having this appear on the dash board will greatly assist us.

    It has been 2 years since I requested this feature. it is just another column in the workflow, for developers, it is just a 5 5-minute job, which will not affect any other process.

    Missed a bill yesterday that a colleague had entered on the system and submitted for approval hence it didn't show on my dashboard.

    This is a vital upgrade that needs to happen. Bills are getting missed as they do not show on the dashboard.

    This is essential as it is resulting in delays, and it isn't showing the accurate figure for awaiting payment is it doesnt take into account awaiting approval figures. At a quick glance everything could look ok when in reality there could be 10+ invoices sat there awaiting approval before showing up in awaiting payment. It is creating the need to manually chase approvers directly outside of Xero.

    This would be very useful and flag up any bills still waiting approval so not to be missed from reporting. It is frustrating that draft bills show on the dashboard but not those waiting approval.

    Find it hard to understand why this has been suggested back in 2015 and obviously has many users requesting it and seems a simple addition to the Dashboard. This issue also causes headaches for managers in my organisation, where we have data entry people doing the creating of invoices and then a more senior person approving them. They tend to get missed if not showing on dashboard.

    We've now got multiple people involved in the accounts payable... and not having 'Awaiting Approval' on the dashboard component is a pain.

    Hi - I don't understand why you can show "Draft bills"in the dashboard but not "Bills awaiting approval" - is this something that will be rectified in the future as it appears that i am not the only one who would like this. Thank you
