AU Payroll - Historical Payslip Report (bulk download)
Create a report to show all payslips for an employee for a given time period. Currently these have to be downloaded one by one.

Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

Hi, this would be so helpful - I have an employee who needs 3 months of payslips for his mortgage broker. We pay weekly so he doesn't want to have 14 attachments to cover that period. Thanks.

Hi there, this would be extremely helpful and time saving especially when an employee puts in a workers compensation claim and we have to provide 12 months worth of payslips. Employee summary or detail reports are not acceptable in this instance.
One would think this option would already be available here in Australia. -

Why would this be available in the UK and not in AUS? Clearly you have the ability to program it so why not make it available to all users? Telling us there are no immediate plans for this is just so frustrating to read.

Adding to the deafening chorus requiring this available in AU. Are you listening Xero?

Just checking if this is available in AU yet? This seems like a pretty basic report to make available?

Very time consuming to have to do them one at a time. Please incorporate this in an update soon.

Team I've been following this thread for years and I have FOUND a way to help when there is evidence of each pay needed and their breakdowns. This feature is old and many of you may already know it's there. It may not be perfect or suit everyone however it serves a purpose. It gives the full breakdown of every payslip taxes, super, gross, net etc.
It's called the Payroll Activity Details report.
Select your employee and the dates and off you go. You can have the report in .pdf or excel. What it doesn't do:
Give you individual .pdfs for payslips
Give you a final pay summary of their yearly or total earnings over the dates mentioned (there is another report for that - Payroll Activity Summary) -

Its quiet laughable. No Immediate plans for AU and NZ even though it's a highly anticipated feature

@Paul Skirrow its UK Only so if you are in AU/NZ you will not find it

@Hannah It's great to hear that you've added it but I've spent 30 minutes looking and I can't find it in Xero or in any documentation. Can you clarify please?

WE do returns for employers in relation to apprentices where payslips are required for proof. When doing 3 months of payslips per person, sometimes up to 5 or more employees, this is extremely time consuming. What has been implemented for UK is urgently needed in AU.

You can go into your report settings and add your ABN (this is what I did to get around this) to the payroll report. We have about 6 apprentices and usually submitting this report for incentives is accepted about 75% of the time. Still ridiculous this has not been something addressed by Xero, but adding the ABN does somewhat help. It would have been much better if downloading multiple pay slips had been added rather than making other reports (that worked fine) 'more beautiful'. I find reading the payroll details report when running a payroll now to double check entries is so difficult with all of the ridiculous 'beautiful' lines they have added!

@Catherine_Burford I would say you have been a little lucky with this. When I did upload that report I actually received a phone call stating it is not compliant - must have the ABN on each payslip and the Activity Summary does not do this.
Xero - do we have any comments on this feature yet? -

Hopefully this report will be available soon.
I have literally spent hours downloading numerous payslips by employee, to satisfy government regulation/requirements, it should not be this difficult. -
Catherine Burford commented
@Melanie Louth We have to submit for apprentices too, but I run the Payroll Activity Summary report for each employee in the period requested rather than payslips. Have been doing it for 18 months and never had an issue. It is much faster.

@beau Gaudron - wow! thanks so much for sharing this hack - you have saved me so much time. I am very appreciative for your input and experience - shame Xero deems this operation as not very important.
THANK YOU!

Well, well, well ... aren't you clever! OK that's worked.
THANK YOU

Just type allow pasting and press enter in console as it mentions in the error then you should be able to paste the code and it will work i believe
The code is basically just emulating you clicking every download button, the warning is legitimate as you can issue code in that area that can be malicious but in this case its simply logging all instances of a download button and clicking them over and over again

@Beau Gordon. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I got a warning message:
Warning: Don’t paste code into the DevTools Console that you don’t understand or haven’t reviewed yourself. This could allow attackers to steal your identity or take control of your computer. Please type ‘allow pasting’ below and hit Enter to allow pasting.
