AU Payroll - Set up birthday and apprenticeship anniversaries reminders in Xero Payroll

Could we include a notification when a staff member has a birthday? This has multiple benefits including allowing us to check if their award salary or benefits need to change and also be able to congratulate them on their birthday. Surely it wouldn't be a huge change to make but would be a unique and helpful change for many SME as I currently need to create a new Google calendar for staff birthdays, creating additional work especially when we have 50+ staff and low retention in hospitality. Thank you.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and votes on adding birthday notifications to Australian payroll - we understand how this could help with team celebrations and managing age-based award rate compliance.

After reviewing with our product team, this feature isn't currently on our roadmap, and we'll update the status to 'Not in Pipeline'. Right now, setting up an external calendar could help you track these important dates.

We appreciate you all taking the time to share your feedback with us, and will continue to watch the traction this idea receives through Votes. If there is any change, we will share an update here.

    I think this is an important function to implement for junior staff birthdays and apprentice anniversary dates for pay increases etc.

    It would be great if there was a prompt when an employee salary review or increase in salary is required by a particular date, rather than a separate diary entry.

    Would be great to have a reminder to let me know when an apprentice moves to the next year of their apprenticeship and change their pay accordingly.

    Payroll reminders would be greatly appreciated, to be able to set reminders for birthdays or dates for assessing wage changes/pensions etc.

    we would like to be able to add a Notification / Reminder specific to the employee. Some of our employees need to have their "Right to work" re-checked in the gov.uk website every 2.5 years or so.
    This reminder will ensure HR will not miss the deadline. If their permit had run out, and we miss it, we would be illegally employing and paying them.

    Can there be warnings when an employee is going to have a birthday that means they need a pay increase, or pension enrolment?
    And similarly one when an employee is about to go over tax thresholds?

    I would like to be able to opt in for notifications of staff birthdays. Some clients have different pay rates for staff based on their ages and their pay category needs to be manualy updated when they have a birthday. If the staff doesn't inform their employer or it isn't checked each week this can easily be missed.

    We would like to have a reminder of when an employee commences employment ie a casual employee after 12 months needs to be advised that they can transfer to permanent employment. Also a reminder when 10 years service has been reached for Long Service Leave. Also adding the date of employment in the contact details report would be good.

    It would also be very helpful for yearly anniversaries notifications - especially when staff are get close to Long Service Leave

    It would be very helpful if there were the ability to set up Reminders in Xero Payroll for certain dates such as birthdays and apprenticeship anniversaries so that you would know to change the employee's Pay Rate accordingly.
