AU Payroll - Set up birthday and apprenticeship anniversaries reminders in Xero Payroll

Could we include a notification when a staff member has a birthday? This has multiple benefits including allowing us to check if their award salary or benefits need to change and also be able to congratulate them on their birthday. Surely it wouldn't be a huge change to make but would be a unique and helpful change for many SME as I currently need to create a new Google calendar for staff birthdays, creating additional work especially when we have 50+ staff and low retention in hospitality. Thank you.

Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback and votes on adding birthday notifications to Australian payroll - we understand how this could help with team celebrations and managing age-based award rate compliance.

After reviewing with our product team, this feature isn't currently on our roadmap, and we'll update the status to 'Not in Pipeline'. Right now, setting up an external calendar could help you track these important dates.

We appreciate you all taking the time to share your feedback with us, and will continue to watch the traction this idea receives through Votes. If there is any change, we will share an update here.

    This ! I'd spend more money with Xero to have a few more HR features like this. You have the data so should not be a problem. Also would be great to schedule and get notified of probation dates ie: 6 months after start date.

    Doesn't seem like a difficult addition - and it's really vital for industries that employee a lot of junior staff and aren't a big enough company to have an HR team to be checking this regularly

    Can we please set up a way to advise Anniversary Date for Employees. I have come across the problem a couple of times with the Anniversary Date of an Apprenticeship being missed. This has resulted in adjustment of Wages, backpay, etc..

    Work anniversaries can be added to the calendar where you can see employee birthdays.

    Birthday, apprentice anniversaries and employee anniversaries reminder would be great. Email reminder or may be a pop up in Xero when processing payroll.

    Very important especially for employees aged under 20 where pay rates need to be adjusted every year on their birthday

    We have over 50 employees, some of them are under 18 and it's important that we update their pay rate when they turn 18, but there is not yet any notification in Xero that let's us know. This would be an amazing feature please!!!

    We've been Xero customers for about 10yrs and I still cannot believe this feature is not supported. As a software engineer, this doesn't appear to be a very complex feature to implement.

    Add a new Anniversary Date box. Check box for 'Same as Birthday'.

    Then when each payrun is processed, see if any 'anniversary dates' fall within the payrun date range and if so alert user.

    It would be great if Xero could review an employee's start date and send an automatic email on the employees anniversary date each year. For example, if an employee starts 01/01/2024, Xero should send you an email on 01/01 each year to say something like "today is the employment anniversary of XYZ".

    It would be great to be able to enter a date flag/reminder when a key anniversary arrives, so that rates can be adjusted accordingly. This could include multiple flags for rates, birthdays, leave anniversary etc etc, any key date relevant to that employee. Then payroll could run a report before each payrun, to ensure rates have been increased at the right time, saving external records, and potential missed/underpaid wages.

    Any update on this?

    I'm considering moving across to another provider as 80% of our staff are under 20yrs old across two businesses.
    It doesn't makes sense why this isn't an option

    Have a popup reminder when a junior employee turns a year older until 21 years of age
