Advanced Template - Packing Slip as it's own branding theme
Could you please enable the ability to create a custom “Packing Slip” as part of our custom “Branding Theme”? We’d like to be able to send our fully personalized packing slips without having to change the invoice “Branding Theme" back & forth.
Thank you

Good old Xero, incremental change where people are screaming a need.. If anyone finds a better platform for multi currency and proper packing slips, please tell me!

We should be able to customize our packing slips the same way we can invoices, quotes and other documents. Many business's use packing slips to hide the value of merchandise and services from truckers and others who pick up merchandise. Its an added step of privacy, some people may want custom writing on their packing slip as they do their invoice. This is not a current option and is extremely important

The ability to Format the Packing Slip is critical when using Xero's Inventory Plus. The default format (which cannot be edited) is missing essential details (Customer Name, Customer Purchase Order number and the Xero Sales Order number). The current format is UNUSABLE without these details as our customers will not accept delivery unless they know their PO number.

Also having the same issue, not being able to add a customized packing slip. For now I have created a custom packing slip (as a customized invoice template) and made the document have two pages.
So the first page is the standard invoice for the customer to see and then page 2 is the packing / delivery slip which is for my employees / delivery drivers.
When I create the invoice I can then send it to the customer and they will see their invoice as normal and I can also print the packing slip by just selecting page 2 when printing. I think this is a work around for now if anyone else is having the same issue but hopefully Xero will work on this!

Only just moved to custom style and find this lack of feature frustrating - apart from the obvious lack of uniformity if I have to change branding scheme to print packing slip properly, I find that the new custom template for invoice I use does not print item number on packing slips. Whole left column is missing.

Packing slips needs to have the function to add the acceptance of a receiver's signature / date on the template.

Can't believe it's been two years since this thread was posted and Xero still has not actioned this. Moved from another software to Xero and this issue is causing a huge problem for us.

I have loved that Xero is usually great at allowing you to customise your own templates for invoices. It would be wonderful if we could customise the packing slip as we need to be able to put some background check details on them. I currently use the branding themes to do this but streamlined would be a great feature. Thanks

Agree with enabling to customize Packing Slip as most of our clients request to have receiver's signature on the template.

Another vote for this. We're moving from another software as Xero has more functionality in every other sense - but I've just discovered the lack of packing/delivery templating.
We need to add certain regulatory information to our delivery notes which will need a new branding theme at present so I can add it to an 'invoice' template. -

I fully support this, since if you use the combined invoice & packing slip template, the packing slip is added as a page 2 to each invoice using that theme. I see it as unprofessional to email an invoice to someone with a packing slip attached.
And if you use the 'packing slip' drop-down option on the invoice page, you get the standard, non-branded packing slip which also assumes you're shipping everything in the order!

I can't believe they added packing slips without the ability to customise them and print them separately. Those who receive the invoice are not those who sign for delivery. Xero is not a cheap product, all its competitors have a delivery note available.
Come on action this suggestion. -

This is a must I cant believe there is no option to customise a packing slip like you can a credit note or quote or even invoice.
Or at the very least since the Packing slip comes off the new invoice template why can it not replicate how I have my invoice set up in relation to static text and things I dont want to show. So simple.
I have got to ask how may votes are needed before the Xero team will actually do something about it?

Highly support this idea.
The ability to print an invoice or packing slip seperatly is great.
The current solution in the documentation to use a 2 page Invoice/Packing slip template is cumbersome, as is creating a custom theme to switch to.Having the option to upload a custom 'Packing Slip' to a branding theme, as we already can with Invoice, Statement, Credit Note, etc, would be greatly appreciaited.

Not very professional to have invoices and quotes in a nice specific customized branding theme for your business and then you print a packing slip for customer it is not the same professional theme as all your other documents. Please make a custom template for Packing Slip and Work Order as well under each branding theme. Right now I have to change from one branding theme to the next just to get a Packing Slip from an invoice and a Work Order from a quote after customer has approved quote to begin production on the parts. Very time consuming. I also noticed that Payment Remittance Notices don't have the our customized templates either which is rather unprofessional! You have all the infrastructure in place to do it just add a few more simple templates... Thanks a million and keep up the good work!!

I agree completely. You need the ability to customise the packing slip in the same manner as the invoice/credit note etc without the need to change the branding theme back and forth. Nor is it appropriate to have the invoice and packing slip in a combined document to be viewed by the customer.
