Hi team, while we don't have plans for adding a field for supplier to Inventory items, right now you could run the Payable invoice Detail report to see the purchases of items, and which supplier(s) they've been bought from.
You can also Group/Summarise the report by Item Code or Contact, depending on which you want to see together.

Thanks for raising and supporting the idea here, community. Being open this isn't something we're looking to develop into Quotes for the time being. However, if needed you could have two branding themes, with a different Quote template: one for the quote itself, and one for a packing slip.
You could then edit the quote, and switch the branding theme to the one you want to send out.

How it works in our shop, we quote customers with our products then once they have accepted and approved the quote we print a Work Order for the guys in the shop to see what parts they have to build for this customer. And for us to see what Orders we have to work on. Work Order has no payment info so it's basically like a Packing Slip but in the Quote level instead of Invoice level. Currently we have to switch branding theme from Quote to Work Order to use our customized Work Order Template which is very time consuming.
Please let us know if that can be done! You have all the infrastructure in place already with the Packing Slip option in Invoicing and the customized templates under the branding theme so it appears to be just a matter of doing the same thing for Quotes. An error occurred while saving the comment Truck Parts commentedNot very professional to have invoices and quotes in a nice specific customized branding theme for your business and then you print a packing slip for customer it is not the same professional theme as all your other documents. Please make a custom template for Packing Slip and Work Order as well under each branding theme. Right now I have to change from one branding theme to the next just to get a Packing Slip from an invoice and a Work Order from a quote after customer has approved quote to begin production on the parts. Very time consuming. I also noticed that Payment Remittance Notices don't have the our customized templates either which is rather unprofessional! You have all the infrastructure in place to do it just add a few more simple templates... Thanks a million and keep up the good work!!

Hi all, upon revisiting here we'll re-open this idea.
As you may have found - While possible to add a new line and drag & drop this to where you'd like it to sit in a quote. Once saved, blank lines that have no data in any field will disappear and lines with detail will condense.
Apologies for the earlier misunderstanding and we appreciate those who've feedback on the idea here too.
There aren't any direct plans for changing this behaviour for now. We have a keen eye on the interest here so please add your support through votes and importance.
For the time being, if you'd like to add a blank line in your quote you'll need to enter a character in the description field of the line - This could just be a hyphen or full stop

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate hearing where our users would like to see change across Xero. We also hear feedback through many other sources, and realistically while we’d love to, we simply cannot work on all things at once. Our product teams must make hard choices on where, and what to develop everyday, to continue delivering consistently high value to our customers.
That being said, there are no plans to make Xero a fully functioning email system for communicating with your contact base, like what’s being asked here. Focus for the team at present is needed on more critical projects, such as building on beautiful. There are many integrations available through our ecosystem, if you don’t find one specifically for sending out bulk emails to contacts, you could approach a custom-cloud integrator to build one for you at a fee.
I know this isn’t the news you’re hoping…

Hi community, we'd like to confirm that enabling phone numbers to be stored against additional people within a contact record is not something we have plans to develop at this time. This may be a function we look to explore in the long-term so we're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. If there's any change we will let you know on on this idea.

Not very impressed with new quote either! Please keep it nice and simple, make small changes at a time that customers request in Xero Product Ideas instead of re-hauling the whole software without your customers request as the customer are the ones that are paying your bills and salary. Listen to them.
Biggest problem I have is we can't edit the item name. We have very similar items as most companies would have and if we type in the wrong item or want to change to a very similar item by just changing 1 number or whatever I have to completely type in the new item, please make it editable. Thanks!
