Inventory - Add an alert when Product reaches a 'low' quantity
Low stock alerts can be set up in the Xero "Product" administration. Each product reaches a certain 'low' quantity and Xero gives an alert accordingly.

One of the basic requirements that is missing. We all obviously know that you cannot process an Invoice unless tracked stock is available - why not highlight the item concerned rather than a blanket statement that something is wrong? Where are the minimum and re-order levels? Where is the 'Print a Re-order Report' option?
Just one of a small handful of very easily altered issues and missing components that would take the system to the next level, and replace the need for a separate production management system.
Badly thought out - you really need to be speaking directly to some of your customers rather than relying on us moaning on platforms such as this. Just because you call it a 'duck' doesn't mean it's a duck - it's large, grey, has a trunk and eats sticky buns, it's an elephant. We all call it an elephant. Just because you call it a duck doesn't mean it's a duck. Not the greatest analogy, admittedly, but it gets the point across.
Just because you say Xero is suitable for this, that and the next, quite simple, it isn't.

I can't believe this function isn't already there, it's basic, we were just looking for exactly this. There are so many basic reports missing from Xero.

100% need the stock alert cause we don't have enough staff to monitor the inventory report all the time. We already lost some customers because the items are "Out of stock"

It is imperative the minimum quantity as well as typical quantity can be set. What a minimum quantity is reaches an email or notification needs to be sent in order to ensure that our business runs smoothly. This is available in QuickBooks and surely needs to be available in Zero

This would seriously upgrade the inventory functionality of Xero. An automatic email each Monday would help set the production direction for the upcoming week.

Hello,
I got this notification from Zoho Books Standard Plan every time my set warning quantity is reached:
"The stock in your organization The Print Minister has reached the reorder point."
If Zoho Books can do this, why can't Xero do this even better?

If stock levels were shown in a pop up window when a figure is entered in the quantity column on Invoices / Quotes it would be really helpful. It shows when you are typing a credit note so it must be possible - can't think of why it's usual to have in Credit notes but not on Invoices / Quotations?
