Expenses - Prevent users from submitting expense claims for locked periods
Xero should not allow employees to submit Expenses for locked periods. It must have a Posting Date & Document Date to facilitate this. The document date should always be what's on the invoice/receipt

This is fundamental. From an accounting and reporting perspective, you have to have confidence that prior periods won't change. The Lock date function clearly recognises this, so why is it that expenses can circumvent this? This is a serious system flaw

Agreed! I can't send a reminder for a sales invoice from a locked period, but expenses can be created in a locked period??

Lock Dates for Xero Expenses so employees can't submit claims past a certain date for the prior month as the dates are locked

I agree - even a function for Xero to edit posting date to lock date +1 rather than having to edit the EP
