I honestly don't understand why Xero advertise their GoCardless integration if they aren't going to update it and ensure it does the basics. So many issues with it that make streamlining any area of our accounting impossible.

Need to integrate the instalment payments to Xero invoices.

We also raise 1 invoice that gets settled over several months via direct debit. The current GoCardless integration doesn't support this process. It is vital to our business as that this is supported

We often raise 1 invoice that gets settled over several months via direct debit. Unfortunately, the current GoCardless integration doesn't support this process. Would be great if it could as would save us hours reconciling payments.

GoCardless offer Subscription Templates and the processes by which customers can sign up for them are simple and effective.

For my company offering Boiler Service Plans it would be great to use GoCardless to sign customers up, but then have Xero keep a record of Invoices and Direct Debit Payments.

I see it working like this: A customer visits our website and picks the Subscription Template that suits them. They click to set up a Direct Debit Mandate via GoCardless. That GoCardless Customer is matched to an existing Xero Contact or a new one is created. GoCardless then generates monthly Invoices and Payments for that Contact in Xero.

To make this work currently, we'd need to manually set up a Repeating Invoice for the Contact, before emailing it to them so that they can set up their direct debit mandate. It works, but isn't as slick as allowing them to create a direct debit mandate in their own time, via a link on our website.

As far as I know, this is the only option to match instalments to one invoice in Xero. So far, the only option to get paid in instalments was to send multiple invoices to the same customer. So this is critical for me.

Any idea when you are going to make GoCardless automated features a useable feature?

I'm still on the old GoCardless integration which is lacking enough. But I'm sure I'll be forced to use the new one soon which sounds even worse than the old one.

Don't have integrations if you're not going to support them properly.

GoCardless in Xero - split invoice over multiple payments

The option of being able to split payments in GoCardless for one invoice would be extremely beneficial. Currently, we have to split an already issued invoice into multiple invoices retaining the invoice date for all of them and changing the due dates to reflect when we want GoCardless in Xero to take payments over the many months.

Our clients are on monthly direct debit and expect to see one payment on their selected payment date. Currently there are multiple payments being collected on the same day and customers are telling us this isn't ideal. We connected Xero in this way to promote automation but this seems to be at the sacrifice of good customer facing benefits.

What we would like to see is an option in the customer financial information section to tell the system that the client is on monthly DD and that one single payment is taken on their preferred DD date for all invoices raised and falling due within the relevant period.

GoCardless and Xero integration that supports their new installments feature.

I was using the old 'GoCardless for Xero' integration, Which is not longer under deleopment by GoCardless.

The new GoCardless as a payment method integration is developed direcly by Xero.

Now a long list of non working fetature since we switch over, which was recommended by Xero.

Soy you may need to look elsewhere, as Xero has clearly communicated to me that the new integration is working as expected

We're still using GoCardless for Xero and due to some issues I was looking in to switching to the new GoCardless in Xero, but this has absolutely put me off. Thanks for sharing and I hope they fix it soon (we can only hope).

GoCardless in Xero - split invoices over multiple payments.

Currently we issue an annual invoice to all our customers, but we give them the option to pay monthly. I understand GoCardless for Xero had the ability to split payments of an invoice over multiple payments. That feature would be extremely beneficial in GoCardless in Xero.

With the current GoCardless for Xero system, there are three options for scheduling payments:

1. You can select an individual invoice and take payment for the full amount in one go.

2. You can select an individual invoice and split the total amount over a number of payments.

3. You can select multiple invoices (for the same customer) and take payment for the full sum amount in one go.

What we need added is a 4th option, where you can select multiple invoices (for the same customer), that the sum total owed and split that total over a number of future payments.

For us, the lack of this option makes GoCardless for Xero unusable. Most of our customers will have multiple invoices that they will want to pay in stages over a period of time. Using option 3. above (scheduling a separate payment plan for each invoice they have) would be a very bad customer experience.
