Gocardless - Reoccurring payments without customer alert
Allow us to select 'reoccurring payment' in a repeating invoice for Gocardless in Xero.
When Xero generates a repeating invoice that is setup for auto collection from Gocardless, it is classed as a new payment each time and sends the Gocardless customer an email everytime.
In Gocardless when subscriptions were done through its own systems, they were classed as reoccurring payments and therefore as per BACS rules, the customer does not need to be informed everytime payment is taken.
We have over 400 monthly payments and growing, we can't keep emailing customers everytime we take their approved monthly payment, it worries them that we are taking it twice etc.

Any idea when you are going to make GoCardless automated features a useable feature?
I'm still on the old GoCardless integration which is lacking enough. But I'm sure I'll be forced to use the new one soon which sounds even worse than the old one.
Don't have integrations if you're not going to support them properly.

I was using the old 'GoCardless for Xero' integration, Which is not longer under deleopment by GoCardless.
The new GoCardless as a payment method integration is developed direcly by Xero.
Now a long list of non working fetature since we switch over, which was recommended by Xero.
Soy you may need to look elsewhere, as Xero has clearly communicated to me that the new integration is working as expected

We're still using GoCardless for Xero and due to some issues I was looking in to switching to the new GoCardless in Xero, but this has absolutely put me off. Thanks for sharing and I hope they fix it soon (we can only hope).
