Hi community, we’ve been working hard to continue delivering valuable enhancements for our customers, and we know from your feedback being able to send via the Xero network from an invoice was important to how you invoice with Xero.

I’m pleased to share this feature is in the process of being released, currently with 50% of users we expect to have this in everyone’s hands soon.

Once available, when creating an invoice if you enter a Contact you’ve saved a Xero network key for ( https://central.xero.com/s/article/Enter-a-Xero-network-key-received-from-another-Xero-organisation ) you’ll see an option beneath the invoice appear ‘Send via Xero network’ (similar to when you send an eInvoice). As an addition, with the way we’ve rebuilt this feature you can now also include any attachments when sending the invoice. These’ll be received on the draft bill created in your customers org! I’ll round back to confirm when this is live to everyone 🙂

Hi community, thanks for on-going engagements with us about how you use the Xero network in this idea. As our team continue work on new invoicing, development for building the Xero Network within new invoicing is now underway, and we’ll keep you updated of further news of this, here.

In the meantime, if you’ve set up Xero network for your contacts you can continue to send these through the Invoices awaiting payments list ( https://central.xero.com/s/article/Send-a-sales-invoice-from-Xero-to-Xero ). As mentioned in my last updated we still strongly recommend exploring eInvoicing ( https://www.xero.com/accounting-software/send-invoices/e-invoicing-software/ ) as a solution.

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate all the feedback we’ve heard from our customers on their use of the Xero network and the importance this is for helping you move efficiently when using new invoicing. Where possible we highly encourage setting up and using eInvoicing as a solution ( https://www.xero.com/accounting-software/send-invoices/e-invoicing-software/ ) which is wider reaching than just those businesses on Xero, and has more functionality.

In it’s current state you can continue to send invoices using the Xero Network from the Awaiting payments list ( https://central.xero.com/s/article/Send-a-sales-invoice-from-Xero-to-Xero-NZ-AU-US-GL ). That said, we’ve been listening closely and our product team are now considering development to incorporate sending invoices from Xero to Xero within new invoicing, as well as developing on this feature to enable attachments to be included when sending. We’ll shift the idea to Under review for now and I’ll share as there is more progression of this to update you on.

Hi everyone, thank you for sharing feedback on your use and needs in the Xero network (Xero to Xero).
Our team are continuing to review use cases there are alternative options that offer an improved experience and we’d encourage you exploring;

• eInvoicing ( https://central.xero.com/s/article/Send-and-receive-invoices-with-e-invoicing ) in some regions,
• Hubdoc ( https://central.xero.com/s/article/Hubdoc-in-Xero ) , or
• the ability to save an online invoice as a draft bill ( https://central.xero.com/s/article/Save-online-invoices-as-bills ) in your organisation.

While we don’t have plans for building the Xero network into new invoicing, listening to feedback we appreciate this is a feature some of our customers have grown familiar with and regularly use.

You’ll find you can still send invoices via the Xero Network using the ‘Email’ option from the Awaiting Payments list page – where a customer has had a Xero Business Network key added to the Contact record you’ll see the option at the bottom of the send modal to ‘Send via Xero Network’.
