New invoicing - show account column after saving
I've noticed in the new invoicing that the account column disappears when it is saved. While I don't want the account column shown on the actual invoice, I use this saved version in Xero to check that the correct account has been selected. I will not switch to new invoicing until this option is available as it would be extra time to edit the invoice to see which account was selected. Classic invoicing is a much better experience in my opinion.

Thanks for staying tuned with us through the idea, here. As you may have seen when recently invoicing, we've released a new line item grid when the invoice is saved, and in view mode.
Along with other enhancements this encompasses moving details into their own columns including the Account column. We appreciate your feedback and sharing on how this change could improve the experience for you.

Hi Kelly,
I agree with all the comments in this thread. Meanwhile, we need to do our jobs, we can’t be sure that this problem will be resolved by the end of November 2024. We can run the Receivable Invoice Detail report and check the correctness of each invoice's ledger account, tax, and two tracking categories. But this report does not show the customer’s address. It is crucial for us as one of the tracking categories depends on the location. Please add the contact address to the ”Columns” drop-down menu.

Please keep the approved invoice in the shape of a table with ALL columns visible!!!!

This is indeed critical!

We raise over 800 Invoices per month and then each Invoice is double checked before sending - OF COURSE we need to check account coding is correct as part of that process.

It's still there, just as a small line and not a column. I too wish it would stay as a column as I also use this all the time!

Removing the following columns:
Account
Tax rate
Department (Custom Field)
Service Type (Custom Field)and instead displaying them as a note under each line is not helpful to us at all.
We use these columns to check that the data has been entered correctly and it is easier to scan down the column to check this (instead of within a light grey smaller font line).
I note that this is viewable if you 'Edit' the invoice but this is also inefficient.
Can you please put these columns back in the view.
Also - please make Tax Amount per line item a hideable column as we don't need this.

Definitely a step backwards for the account code/name field to not be displayed after saving. Annoying to have to click to the edit screen to have to see it. Please reinstate this field! I am not a fan of the new invoicing and I'm dreading having to use it.

Tracking and discount columns too - just copy new invoicing drafts screen to approved screen.

Yes this is incredibly frustrating for us too! Have the draft new invoicing screen flow through to the approved new invoice screen please! At least each company can have their own layout as per choices made in draft screen.
Every month I have to look back to make sure the accounts are correct, and vehicle tracking (to recode the FAF per vehicle - instead of having multiple FAF lines on an invoice). How can I do this quickly and accurately when these columns hide in small writing underneath the description lines after saving??

I agree with you, I am having to edit the invoice to check whether the invoice has been input into the correct nominal code account. This is now time wasting.

Keep nominal account numbers on new invoicing as well as account names
