Projects - Option to default bills & expenses to non-chargeable
Within Xero Projects, we would like the functionality to be able to amend the project setting so that we can set the default to non-chargeable for bills and expenses rather then the current automatic % markup.
The current approach means that the project reporting shows bills outstanding when they aren't particularly relevant when you have contractors delivering the work for an agreed price. at the moment we have to go into each category and amend each line item

Would be very useful to have an option on the Projects screen to mark items as "non-chargeable" in addition to the existing "invoiced" status, allowing for clearer tracking of project costs and preventing accidental billing for certain items; this feature would streamline project management and improve reporting accuracy, similar to how detailed menus like those on Subway Menu Prices Canada https://subwaymenupricescanada.com/ clearly categorize and display options for easier selection.

Realised how to do this. In the project screen, click the three dots against the item, edit, from the Charge drop-down list select Non-chargeable.

Would it be possible to add an option to show items on the Projects screen as "not rechargeable" as well as "invoiced"?
